Safety Precautions
Always take basic safety precautions to rule out the risk of injury to yourself and
patients and avoid damage to the system.

1. Never operate the computer with defective power cable or other cables.

2. Never open the computer or remove parts of the housing.

3. Protect the system against electric shock, water and moisture.

4. Protect the system against ESD with more than 5 kV. If this happens despite
precautions, the system may only be operable after restarting it .

5. To prevent electrostatic charges, avoid nylon covers and clothing and certain
synthetic mats.

6. Do not modify the system or use it for a purpose for which is was not intended.

7. Changed video parameters, brightness and contrast, apply from the time they are
saved in the configuration part of the software. These values can no longer be
changed in the transferred image.

8. The enclosed documentation may contain functional descriptions which are not
available in all expansion stages of the equipment.

Replacement PC typ II

The new computer features an integrated UPS system. After turning on the device,
the battery quickly gets charged to a high extent (in around 2-3 min.) so that if the
power supply is interrupted, the computer is automatically and safely switched off. As
this function is automatically activated, the screen is disconnected. This function is
managed by the proper LED (green = connected to the power supply; red = function
battery-stop computer).

While in operation, the battery charge is constantly monitored. When the battery is
used for long periods, its durability is reduced and the message

“Attention - call service”

will appear on the screen. Thus the battery must be replaced.
