01/09 - 06/09 Manufacturing General Manager
* Responsible for carpet manufacturing in a four separate plant operation with 1
200 + employees. Products and processes included polypropylene yarn extrusion, t
wisting and heat setting, woven rugs and woven wall to wall carpet, tufted carpe
ts, rotary screen printing, computer controlled printing, various backing/finish
ing lines, PVC backed carpet tiles, and warehousing.
* Successfully started up of a new Zimmer carpet tile production line including
setting process parameters, sourcing raw materials, and developing procedures to
provide carpet to the backing range and testing of the finished product.
* Directed manpower studies to establish human resource needs to operate each pl
ant.
* Trained plant management to identify improvement opportunities and solutions.
* Implemented data collection and analysis tools to begin organized process impr
ovement.

10/06 - 9/08 Project Manager/Development Manager - Milliken & Co.
* Core member of management and engineering team organized to install and start-
up of a carpet tile manufacturing facility in mainland China with a low cost bud
get and fast track schedule.
* Responsibilities included site selection, lease negotiations with the Zhangjia
gang Economic Development Zone, achieving Encouraged Status for tax exemption, p
lant design, selection and procurement of equipment, import of new and used equi
pment, and hiring and training of plant personnel. Interfaced with Environmental
Bureau, Fire
Bureau, Planning Bureau, and various other Chinese Government Authorities for
permitting approvals.
* Successfully met major cost and schedule milestones toward commissioning plant
. Project completed at $1.4 million under budget.

* Responsible for broadloom carpet and carpet tiles products from yarn selection
to finished product.
* Developed a feasibility study to understand issues of bringing the production
of a proprietary product in-house.
* Assisted in product construction changes for cost and quality improvements.
* Developed a new application for existing equipment to manufacture proprietary
floor mat products. Patent issued.

* Position created as a result of a catastrophic fire that destroyed a major car
pet dye and finish manufacturing facility.
* Work directly with EPCM contractor Fluor Daniel on rebuild critical paths, pro
ject cost projections, actual costs, and daily progress reviews.
* Active in development of legal strategy for Insurance Recovery.
* Served as the primary contact with insurance company representatives responsib
le for negotiation and successful settlement of major property segments.
* Resulted in arbitration panel award for of $1.1 billion for Business Interrupt
