Manage Recurring Processes

The Manage Recurring Processes app allows users who manage processes to automate the creation of processes
that repeat regularly. This way, you don’t need to create a new process manually each time you want it to repeat.

Purpose
In this app, you can schedule all recurrences of a process in one go. You can decide if the process should repeat
monthly or weekly, how many times it should repeat and on which day, and define a day from which the process
should start to repeat. Based on the settings you define, the system generates occurrences that represent planned
individual processes. These processes are created when the start date defined for the occurrence has arrived. You
can manually adapt the prefilled name and dates of each occurrence. This allows you to plan the recurrence of
the process more accurately.

The individual processes can be viewed and managed in the Manage Processes app.

Note

The automatic creation of a process does not influence the start of the first process step and thereby the process.
How the first process step is started depends on the settings defined in the process template.

You can also edit the recurring process. You can change the name of an occurrence if it has not been created as a
process yet, as well as the start date and end date of the steps. This can be useful, for example, if the future dates
of an occurrence change because of unforeseen business requirements. Note that you cannot change the general
scheduling settings for the recurrence. To do this, you need to delete the existing recurring process and create a
new one from scratch.

The Manage Recurring Processes app also allows you to stop the recurrence by disabling or deleting the
recurring process. This way, not new processes are created automatically. This is useful if anything in the setup
of the process template needs to be changed, for example, if the duration of the process steps needs to be
adapted or the participant groups need to be restructured.
