Old Rosehillians’ Society NEWSLETTER

NEWS from and for

The Old Rosehillians’ Society

The Old Rosehillians’ Society has now been formally re-established and registered as a Small
Charity with HMRC (number XT27904). An AGM was held on 27th March at St Kenelm’s
Church - the name of the Society was approved and the Society’s Constitution was agreed, in
particular its purpose being “to promote and maintain the community of Old Rosehillians
defined as pupils, parents and staff previously associated with Rose Hill School, Alderley.” A
by-product of this community will be “to raise funds for charitable purposes including
educational causes at home and abroad.” A Committee of 10 was voted in & approved.
The AGM was prefaced by a brief service of worship conducted by Sue Plant; the service
focussed on the theme of fellowship, the reading being from Colossians 3: 12-17 (read by
Talia Overton) and the closing hymn being Father, Lord of All Creation. The prayers included
one specifically for the new Society:
“Heavenly Father, as members of this group, we commit its life to you. We seek your blessing
in all we do, your presence in our fellowship, your inspiration in our activities, your strength in
our service to one another. We ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
