Michael Toogood (former pupil) is currently working in Hong Kong while his brother, Paul is
between L.A., Detroit and New York making a film about The History of Rap (following his great
success with his Songbook series for Sky )
John Trinder (pupil 1947-50 approx) Capt RN retd - currently in New Zealand with his wife,
Rosalie - helping relatives recover from the earthquake damage
Gareth Davies, former Head of Maths & member of the Senior Management Team at Rose Hill is
now Headmaster of Alleyn Court Prep School in Southend-on-Sea
Ed & Kate Batty (both former pupils from the 1990s) - currently working in Switzerland and
Cornwall respectively

Isabel Berresford (former pupil 2000’s) has been awarded an Academic and Music Scholarship to
the Royal High Senior School in Bath this year
Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts 2011 saw success for former pupil Jack Barry (left 2008)
who won the Palmer-Dodwell Cup for a solo Shakespeare piece
Lydia Maxwell (left 2009) also had success at Cheltenham, achieving 3 Bronze & 3 Silver medals for
her acting, poetry/prose & singing plus the Nesta Lane Challenge Cup for her solo female singing
(open class). She has also obtained a place in the National Youth Training Choir North as well as a
place on the Acting course for the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain this summer. Lydia has
also achieved a Distinction in her Grade 6 Singing and a Merit in her first Jazz Saxophone exam
Clemmie Collyer-Bristow (left 2005) has been enjoying a wide-ranging Gap Year, currently in
Thailand. Polly Tullberg has been teaching in the Maldives & is currently in Thailand
Hannah Jolly & Emma Hetherington started their Gap Year travels together in America, exploring
New York, LA, Las Vegas & The Grand Canyon; exciting experiences included skydiving 13,000 ft
over Arizona and learning to trapeze.
Emma then went on through Central America alone to get to Utila, a small island off Honduras
where she spent a few months training to become a fully qualified PADI dive instructor.
Hannah and another Prior Park friend travelled on to New Zealand & Australia, where they climbed
a glacier, experienced an earthquake aftershock, fed kangaroos & koalas, safari camped on an
island and snorkelled on the Great Barrier Reef (amongst other thrills!)
Patrick Thompson was at the school 1970 -74 - Head Boy 1974 with very fond memories of a great
school
William Gueterbock (reader at today’s ORH Day Service) last remembers reading at St Kenelm’s at
a Carol Service in 1939 when a pupil at the school
