Note. You can find all jobs DONE in my daily work done.
ME STARTING PROCEDURE
Since it is ME engine so the starting procedure is same slightly different from SMC engine. Turn Main
Engine on turning gear and press cylinder lubrication option in MOP (Main Operating Panel) few times. If
Main Engine has been remaining idle for long time (2 or more days) chose SLOW TURN for blowing
through and then AIR RUN. We blow through ME twice. In normal condition we blow through directly in
AIR RUN. Open indicator cock, select SLOW TURN option and then move the telegraph lever to DEAD
SLOW and back to STOP. Similarly, for second time blow through select AIR RUN and then move the
telegraph lever to DEAD SLOW and back to STOP.
Close indicator cock and transfer control to bridge.
◎ Aux. Engine

Lube Oil sample will be send to LAB. every 3 months for analysis.
All AE sump oil renewed when R/H 2000. Pls. check A/E RH.
AE 1,2 & 3 turbine wash and turbo charger washing carried out as per
instruction manual.
AE performance taken every month (75 % to 80 %) Load.
AE alarms and trips tried out on regular basis.
AE no 2 and 3 fuel pump overhauled with new plunger barrels.
- All the auto/manual, start/stop procedure for ballasting and DE ballasting mode are printed and kept
ready in CCR near BWTS HMI panel. BWTS plant is running good condition.
3 No. generators required for starting 2 ballast pumps and 2 no. generators
require for starting 1 ballast pump.
Note: Sometime during auto start of BWTS system in ballasting mode, water chiller plant trips due to
overcurrent. Therefor before starting the plant in auto mode, changeover the water chiller from remote to
local and start the water chiller locally for short while and stop it. Further put back the water chiller
control from local to remote and then start the BWTS plant in auto mode. This would avoid further
tripping of water chiller plant.
. Aux. Boiler
Make: KANGRIM HEAVY INDUSTRIES CO. LTD.
Type: Water Tube. Boiler steam production (oil fired): 25000 kg/hr.
Boiler working / design pressure: 16/18 bar
There are 2 Aux. boilers normally used for cargo discharging purpose.
1. All alarms and trips are tried out monthly and in good working condition.
2. All routines are carried out according to PMS.
3. Boiler burner, pilot burner, filters, smoke detector lens and air diffuser to be
cleaned before every discharge.
4. AUX. BOILER is to be use only during cargo discharging and tank cleaning
operation. Soot blow to be carried out after every discharging operation.
◎ Composite Boiler
IGG plant is running is good working condition. plant operates in LSMGO fuel therefore it
hardly gives any signs of soot deposit in the scrubber tower. Routine maintenance is carried
out on IGG main and pilot burner before every discharging.
Sometime pilot burner inside pipe get chocked due to carbon deposits and due to this main
burner also fails to start, therefore prior to every cargo discharging, do carry out cleaning of
the pilot burner nozzle and internal pipe.
Oxygen Analyzer calibrated for Span and Zero calibration before starting
IGG for service
IGG alarms and trips tried out every month and before cargo operation.
Both O2 analyzers are satisfactory good working condition.
After completed operation rinse the IG with Fresh water.
◎ COP Turbine
This vessel is provided with COPT for cargo operation. It is in good working condition.
Start condensate pump No. 1 or No. 2. (start alternate pump for each discharging operation).
All routines are carried out according to PMS.
All alarms & trips tried out monthly, before cargo discharging operation.
And recorded ECR file.
STARTING PROCEDURE
Start condensate pump No. 1 or No. 2. (start alternate pump for each discharging operation).
Start vacuum condenser pump.
Start L.O pump for all the COPT. (Keep in AUTO)
Open all the drains of COPT fully. Line drains as well as COPT drains. For each COPT there are 3
drains and 2 line drains.
Open ejector pump steam valve fully.
Start the Aux. Boiler. Initially in low mode, then manually fire it till 10 bar then to 16 bar. Please
follow this else there will be possibility of tube leakage in long run.
Open the main steam valve. There are 2 valves on the line. First open the valve attached to the
boiler on boiler top then open the second one (Horizontal).
Once COPT and line is drained, close all the drains fully and then keep it crack open for steam
to come.
Crack Open the warming up steam valve and check if water is coming from the drains. Slowly
open the warming up steam valve fully. When no more water comes out and you can see steam
coming out, close all the drains.
Open the main steam for COPT slowly.
Confirm there is vacuum in the vacuum condenser. At higher steam pressure it is around 65mm of
Hg column.
Stop
1. Before press button “AUTO STOP” 1~2 times of manual discharge is recommended. Because of
quality of H.F.O. (If press ‘DIS’ button, start discharge process and will feed oil again).
2. Before feed oil, press button “AUTO STOP”. Then Purifier motor also will be stopped automatically.
3. Switch off ‘MM Function’. Close Steam of heater and Stop supply pump.

◎ Aircond. Plant
Air condition Plant is in good working condition. There are 2 AC compressors of multi stage. Both are
isolated and can be run independently. No. 1 compressor 2 nd stage valve was malfunctioning so it has
been interchanged with 3rd stage. So, No. 1 compressor runs in 2 nd stage continuously. No. 1 & 2
compressor is in good working condition.
There is a sensor for A.H.U. in C/E’s cabin. The Compressor is started & stopped by temperature of
suction of A.H.U. But if fresh air suction damper is open fully (fresh air 50%, re-circulation 50%), even if
room temperature becomes 15°c, suction temperature of A.H.U. is not changed. So, compressor will not
