JOB DESCRIPTION

Vacancy: Team Leader x 9

Department: Press Shop

Reporting To: Process Coach

Reportees: Operators- Press Shop, Tool Setters

Closing Date: XXXXXXXX

Purpose

Under the general direction of the Shift Manager / Process Coach, leads the team of production
operator / workmen and identifies the areas of improvement in Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery,
safety and morale.

Essential Duties
 To allocate manpower as per production requirement
 To improve quality, reduce scrap, achieve productivity
 To map the manufacturing capacity and demand and to ensure the capacity to meet the demand.
 To plan the process, facilities and tooling for the new products and product variants and prove
them.
 To actively participate in Production Part Approval Process.
 To eliminate process related failure modes for new products and product variants
 To develop competency of members in process planning and proving by identifying training needs
and arrange for training.
 To closely work with Operation, Quality & Project team for training of operators, team leaders,
resolving ramp up and quality issues, project delivery monitoring.
 Ensure daily work management is followed and practiced by operators.

 Ensures adherence to safety practices to achieve zero accident, zero near miss accident, zero first
aid cases through standardized work patterns

 Participates in counselling to reduce chronic absenteeism.

 Proper Gap analysis on daily basis to be carried out to ensure the KPIs are met with ICA and PCA.
Job Qualifications And Experience Required
 Preferably Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from reputed Institute
 Minimum 3~5 years experience within Press Shop ( Must be 3 to 5 years relevant supervisory
experience)
 Track record of experience in various manufacturing systems ( TPM, Lean, 6 Sigma) , facilities, sub
systems and maintenance
 Experience in implementation of continuous improvement (Kaizen) and waste elimination activities,
4M, Root Cause Analysis etc
 Support continuous improvements and problem resolution tactics.
 Must be competent in using computers like MS – Windows and SAP would be an added advantage
 Strong time and priority management skills
 Good Communication skills
 Ability to plan and coordinate
 Problem Solving and Decision Making
