“Celebrating Vigyan Utsav”

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate
75 years of independence and the glorious history of it's people, culture and achievements.
Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India (GoI) is associating with State
S&T Councils to showcase emerging Science Technology and Innovation (STI) ecosystems and its
contribution towards Atmanirbhar Bharat through a year-long program “Vigyan Utsav”, the Festival of
Science under the State Science & Technology Programme (SSTP) of DST-GoI. ‘Vigyan Utsav”
started in the month of September 2021 and will conclude in August 2022. This programme is expected
to depict the state level STI ecosystems through the identified themes.

The Vigyan Utsav webinar series primarily delves on the impact of S&T and its need for the societal
development. The objectives of this month Vigyan Utsav webinar is to deliberate on technologies for
the current and futuristic needs based on geolocation, sustainable development goals, promotion of
green technologies, creation of new career opportunities and for the overall economic development of
the country to build Atmanirbhar Bharat.

 Future technologies to create new career opportunities
 Future technologies for sustainable development/practices

Target participants

Graduate/Post graduate students of STEM Disciplines, innovators, Research Scholars, Faculty and
MSME etc.
