Plan and its advantages. When the group of volunteers is ready. We will then make a door-to-door visit to spread
awareness about this wonderful plan. We will tell them how it can work effectively in preventing crime and ensuring
their safety. I am sure our efforts will be a great success as everyone wants a safe and secured environment to live in.
Two qualities that I would require to make the project a grand success are-

Something To Do

1. Suppose you live in a houseboat. How will you fulfil your requirement of going to school, buying vegetables,
meeting your friends, etc.

Ans. Do it yourself.

2. You must have seen huts in slums. What basic amenities are missing from such areas?

Ans. Huts in slums lack several basic amenities such as health and hygiene, safe drinking water, toilets, etc.

The members living in such areas are bound to go outside for toilets. They bring water from far off places. They don’t
have access to education. So, their children remain illiterate and sometimes become victims of crimes when they grow
up.

3. Observe your colony/village and write down the types of houses and materials used to make them.

Ans. I live in the plains. All the houses here are built with thick walls and high, flat roofs. The materials of their
construction are cement, bricks, marbles, iron rods, etc.

4. There is a shortage of water in your neighbour’s house. How will you help them?

Ans. I will help them by giving them some fresh water for drinking and cooking purposes. Moreover, I will also offer
them to use my bathroom and toilet.
