HEALTH HAZARD
ACUTE HEALTH EFFECTS
Poisonous if swallowed. Initial symptoms resemble alcohol intoxication, leading to
SWALLOWED: vomiting, headache, convulsions and unconsciousness. Severe cases may result in renal
failure and death from respiratory failure or pulmonary oedema.
EYE: Causes injury to cornea and eyelids.
Can cause skin irritation. Will have a degreasing action on skin. Repeated or prolonged

contact may lead to irritant contact dermatitis
Inhalation of vapours, mists or aerosols can cause respiratory irritation and possibly

headaches, dizziness and nausea.
The effects from chronic exposure to Tandex CW-N have not been fully evaluated. As with

STORAGE AND Store in sealed containers in cool, dry, well-ventilated storage away from sunlight and

constructed with suitable flooring and bunding designed to fully contain spills.

SPILLS AND DISPOSAL:


LARGE SPILLS: Product is slippery when spilt. Dam area to prevent spill entering fish bearing waters. Pump
into appropriate containers and dispose of in accordance with local regulations.
SMALL SPILLS: Dilute and absorb in an inert solid such as sand, clay or vermiculite and shovel into heavy
duty polythene bags or corrosion proof containers.
FIRE/EXPLOSION Product is non-flammable, but is a combustible liquid.
HAZARD: Water should be used to cool surrounding containers.
Extinguishing media: Use water fog, dry chemical, chemical foam or alcohol resistant foam
type extinguishers. Use water spray to cool fire exposed containers. Fire fighters should
wear self-contained breathing apparatus
Hazardous decomposition products: on burning will emit toxic fumes including carbon
monoxide and carbon dioxide.
