Understandings

A Learning Resource Center is a school facility which contains teaching learning


materials which the teachers use to enrich classroom instruction.

The Learning Resource Center contains print, non-print and electronic materials. The
purpose of this facility is to enhance the learning experiences of the learner and the
teachers in any educational sector. Each teacher needs a wide range of instructional
tools to support and enrich student learnings. Teachers use a wide array of teaching
resources to make the instructional process more stimulating and exciting.

The resource materials used are aligned with the curriculum to ensure that outcomes
are attained. The Learning Resource Center has instructional space to encourage
students to perform some activities and to make learning more meaningful.
