Blueprint: Glimpses of the Gospel continued this month as we moved from the furniture in the Tabernacle to the ofce of Priest. Traveling through Exodus 28-31 and corresponding passages in Hebrews and other New Testament passages, weve studied encouraging and challenging spiritual truths. These truths reminded us that we dont need a priest because we already are one (1 Peter 2:1-5) and we already have One (Heb. 7:23-28). We were challenged to function in our priest role throughout the week as we minister to those God places in our lives, and to fully rely on Jesus as our priest while He sancties us through this life. Exodus 29 left us worshipping our great God who sancties us by applying the blood of Jesus to our mind, actions, and interactions with others. The last two weeks of May, Pastor Hugh encouraged us through Exodus 31 to work and rest for the glory of God.

Renewed Relationships With Each Other

Renewal is looking forward to being involved here again in the fall. As the summer approaches, there are many new avenues for Renewal to be a part of and share the Gospel. A few small groups are planning to follow the example the Chasteen/ Moody group set. These groups will serve hotdogs in other area parks and neighborhoods with the intention of reaching out and beginning to build more relationships. There are several Renewal college students who are serving all over the USA and in a few other countries. These students have given their summer break to serve Christ in these areas. Three nights over the summer, we will show a family friendly lm in the parking lot of Mitchell Road Elementary School. Once again, the students and community around this school will be invited to come and enjoy this time. Every activity is intended to begin or deepen relationships with those in the community of Renewal to further spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Renewal was challenged to monetarily give to First Baptist Joplin, Missouri. This church was hit by a massive tornado. The church is purchasing Wal-Mart gift cards and distributing them to those in need. Renewal saw the need to help and has been able to support this church as it ministers to these hurting people. Please continue to pray for the elders and partners of Renewal as we seize the opportunities God has laid before each of us. May disciples be multiplied to Gods glory in the coming months.

Servant Leaders lunch: The Lord has brought Renewalaround 30 individuals whojoyfully desire to serve Renewal and give direction to different ministries, such as music, technology, youth, grade school, children's, nances, greeting, prayer, building and grounds, hospitality, communications,women's and men's ministries. In May, we honored these Servant Leaders over a barbecue lunch, thanking them for blessing Renewal in their service to us. In that meeting, we outlined the importance of broadening the base of ministry for the church, to empower servant leaders to lead out in doing the work of ministry in 16 different areas. These leaders will advance the work of Renewal both in-house and in the community for missional engagement. Being a church plant, we are grateful for thevisionour partners have toward Renewal ministries and the time in which they invest their gifts. We wouldn't be the church we are without them! Foundations class: As areminder, ourFoundations classesare aseries of classesin which we askthose who aredesirous of wanting to be Renewal partners, to attend, toteach themthe core values of Renewal Church. With our last Foundations class, we decided toconduct ve weeks worth of meetings into one week. OnSunday, May 1st, we held our Foundations meetingall afternoon. The class was comprised of 10 folks, and they were absolutechamps! We walked through the history, vision, mission, and core values of Renewal Church. We concluded with a meal together. We are in the process of conducting elder interviews with soon-to-be partners, so that they can be presented as members this month. How exciting to see the Lord grow HIS church!

A few of the Renewal women in Tampa day and helped the women of Covenant Life sew bags to send to Haiti as sanitary resources for women after giving birth. Each bagheld a baby hat, hand sanitizer, soap, alcohol swabs, plastic sheet, and cleaning gloves. These women babysat thechildrenof Covenant Life leaders one night,so the leadership could havea date night, as well as kept the nursery on Sunday morning, so the whole body of Covenant Life could worship and take communion together. And lastly, they experienced mutual encouragement with the women of Covenant Life, asthey prayed for each other and shared how God was working intheir lives. Kudos tothetwo menwho kept their kids for ve days while their wiveswere in Tampa!

Renewed Love for Those Far From God

Renewals small groups are continually challenged to minister in various ways. This past month the Chasteen/Moody group took advantage of a very creative way to share physically and personally with people in our city. This small group met at a local park where they cooked hotdogs and gave them out to everyone within the park. They were able to talk and share with many that day. This group took Gods love and put it in action.

Before the school year came to an end, Renewal was able to minister again to the staff and teachers of Mitchell Road Elementary. Tampa city The faculty was treated to breakfast and each skyline one was given a Gerber Daisy. The recipients Tampa were very thrilled and grateful for all of the Trip:In love we have given them this year.
