Scope of the Problem
This study aims to gather information about the comparison between pre-and post-pandemic
learning and its impact on the self-perception of student nurses in SWU-PHINMA. Specifically, it
aims to answer the ff questions:
1. Determine how background (?) factors affect students’ self-perceptions in terms of:
a. Education
b. Gender
c. Socioeconomic Status?
2. Determine students’ self-perceptions in terms of:
a. Academics
b. Acquired Skills
c. Temperament?
3. Determine students’ Clinical and Practical skill competency in terms of:
a. Patient Care Skills
b. Knows (basic facts)
c. Applied knowledge
d. Clinical Judgement
4. Determine how students’ self-perceptions affect competency in terms of:
5. What is the relationship between the competence of nursing students and the quality of
clinical skills/nursing skills?

STUDENTS AND WORKERS’ DURING THE PANDEMIC”
Statement of the problem:
This comparative study aims to compare the sudden behavioral lifestyle changes of a student
and a worker in a different setting during a pandemic. Specifically, this study seeks to aim for
further guidelines. Or The purpose of this research is to study the lives of students and workers
and to compare the behavioral analysis of their different settings in this pandemic. (Onsite and
at home setting)

2. How did the student and worker surpass the challenges and struggles they experienced?
3. Was the behavioral change for the students and workers positive or negative?

Title: “KNOWLEDGE AND PREPAREDNESS OF BSN STUDENTS ON CLINICAL NURSING

SKILLS FOR FUNDAMENTAL NURSING CARE”
Statement of the problem:
This research will assess the knowledge and preparedness for clinical Nursing Skills in
Fundamental Nursing Care amidst the pandemic among Nursing students in Southwestern
University PHINMA. The ability of student nurses to utilize clinical reasoning skills in the clinical
environment is essential to safe and effective patient care. The purpose of this study was to
examine if a difference in clinical reasoning skills exists between the COVID19 Pandemic and
the determining factors that may cause the difference. The research participants were the
second-year and third-year undergraduate nursing students from one nursing school in the
Philippines.
Specifically, the study aimed to provide answers to the following questions:

1. What is the profile of the respondents
1.1 Age
1.2 Gender
1.3 Student Course and year
2. How much knowledge and skills for clinical practice does nursing students have already
acquired?
3. . What are some important skills in Fundamental Nursing Care that determine the level
of knowledge and preparedness of students? Do the nursing students have knowledge
to perform nursing procedures in clinical duty in terms of:
4.1 Patient care
4.2 Case management skills
4.3 Emergency and Critical Care Nursing
4.4 Fundamental Skills of Nursing
5. What is the effect of the new learning set up had on the knowledge and preparedness of
the nursing students in:

6. What is the difference between the clinical experiences of the nursing students before
