IV. PROCEDURES
1. Introduction What I need to know?
 The learners will do the walkthrough of the
lesson expectations.
 In this part, the content of the lesson will be
presented.
 Learning objectives will also be introduced to
guide the learners on the learning targets
founded on KSAV principles. (Knowledge, Skills,
Attitude, and Values)
Task #1 Let’s explore!
The teacher will be presenting the activity to the learner
o check if they knew something already about the lesson
to be discussed.
What’s New?
 The learners will answer the question regarding
if they have seen or experience already how to
take table reservations

Task#2 Come and Find me!


The teacher will be presenting/share a puzzle on, the
learners will find the words related to the lesson about
taking table reservations. They will try to define each and
explain its importance in Food Service.
2. Development What I Know?

The lesson about taking table reservation will be


presented.
 The learners will answer the 5-item activity to
test what they know about table reservations
 After answering the questions, they may check
their answers to determine their background
knowledge about the given topic reflected in the
MELC.

Task#3 Guess What?


A 5-item Quiz will be presented on a screen with regard
to the lesson about table reservation.

What’s in?
 The lesson about the procedures in taking table
reservation will be presented

Task#4 Let’s Do It, Mate!


From the group of learners, they will choose their
partners, even just a classmate nearby or a friend or a
neighborhood and explore to do how to take table
reservations.

What is it?
 The learners will be provided with the instruction
on how they will do the activity. They may have
personal reflection on the importance of learning
how to take table reservations
 To strengthen the points of their personal
reflection and further develop their knowledge
about taking table reservations
 Keep on practicing may help them in developing
their knowledge, skills and attitude/values about
the topic

Task#5. Explore now, enjoy now!

The learners will share their experiences and feelings the


moment that they doing the activity regarding taking
table reservations. They will give also their insights why
they think this is important to learn.
3. Engagement What’s more?
 The learners will do/perform the activities
indicated in the module. These activities include
the following: a) answering inquiries promptly,
clearly and accurately b) asking pertinent
questions to complete the details of the
reservations c) recording of reservation data on
forms accurately base on establishment’s
standards d) repeating and confirming details of
the reservations with the customer e) providing
additional information about the food service
establishments
 These varying activities will help them in
involving themselves in deeper learning on the
target concepts

What I can do?


 The learners will perform real-life tasks
identified in the module. These tasks include: (a)
taking a table reservation in a restaurant (b)
observing how the food service personnel were
performing their duties
 They are expected to reflect on the process of
performing the tasks while focusing on their
learned concepts about taking table reservations
4. Assimilation What I have learned?
 In formulating or creating bits of information
reflective of what they have learned during the
development and engagement phases, the
learner will answer the questions focusing on the
given topic. The given questions are directed on
synthesizing their learned information based on
the given content.
 They expected to relate their learned concepts
to their personal lives.

Task#7 Know Mo-Gets Mo!


The teacher will ask the learner to watch a video
presentation about the topic taking table reservation.
The URL will be given to them. After watching the video,
they will be answering the guide questions:
1. What have you learned from the video
that you have watched?
2. What do you think is the importance of
learning those things?
The teacher will ask the learners to answer the given
questions and write it on their activity sheet

What I can do? (Assessment)


 The learners will answer the questions provided.
 They may check their answers using the key
answer found at the latter part of the module.

Task#8 Gets Me, Answer Me!

The learner will be asked to answer those questions to


be written in a piece of paper. After they answer, they
can also check their answers with the answer key to be
given by the teacher, then, they will show in the screen
their scores.
V. REFLECTION  The learners, in their notebook, journal or
portfolio will write their personal insights about
the lesson using the prompts below.

Task#9
The learners will be asked to draw a table, from the big
portion of the table, they will write the most essential
need in taking table reservation, and on its feet, the
other factors to be considered and explain why all these
are needed and important.
