merger between Friesland Foods and Campina in December 2008. Growing up milk, UHT
milk, pasteurized milk, sterilized milk, family powdered milk, low-fat and 0 % fat drinking
yogurt, and low-fat yogurt are its latest products.
The company began on 28 May 1963 as Pacific Milk Industries (Malaya) Sdn Bhd,
where it was contracted to manufacture sweetened condensed milk in its Petaling Jaya plant,
becoming the first manufacturing facility outside the Netherlands for Friesland Foods. It was
incorporated as a private limited joint stock company and began producing only condensed
milk before expanding into dairy products. Many of its goods started to be shipped to
neighbouring countries in Asia and Oceania prior to the expansion.
The company became the first milk company to be listed on the stock exchanges of
Kuala Lumpur and Singapore on 24 September 1968 and changed its name to Dutch Baby
Milk Industries (Malaya) Berhad in 1975. It changed its name to Dutch Lady Milk Industries
Berhad in 2000 after the modernization of the company and has been using ultra-high-
temperature processing (UHT) and packaging technology to manufacture milk in the country
since the 1970.
Sterilized milk was locally produced and sold in plastic bottles in 1983, production of
chilled milk products began in 1986, and fruit yoghurt and rising milk were introduced into
the market in 1988. The company continued to manufacture and introduce new products into
the Malaysian market. In 2011, with the Dutch Lady brand holding 40 percent of the national

The dedication of Nestlé is to provide Malaysians with high quality goods dating back
more than 100 years ago. Nestlé started as the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company in
Penang in Malaysia in 1912, and later due to growth and development, in 1939, a move to
Kuala Lumpur was required.
Following the independence of the country in 1957, there was a need for expanded
employment prospects and more options for goods. Following this, Nestlé opened its
Culinary Products Division in the mid-1960, producing exciting culinary solutions under the
well-loved MAGGI name. This led to their first manufacturing plant being set up in
Malaysia.
Nestlé Malaysia currently operates six factories and hires more than 4,600 workers
nationwide, manufacturing over 500 products approved by Halal. For generations, including
Malaysian favourites such as MILO, MAGGI, NESCAFÉ and KITKAT, many of their main
brands have now become part of Malaysian households. They are strongly committed to
providing the very best in quality, nutrition and taste, having been present in the country and
in the hearts of Malaysians for over a century.
In ensuring regulatory compliance for all Nestlé products, research and development
is important. By integrating regulatory affairs into all its R&D activities, from start to finish,
Nestlé can launch new products quickly and efficiently in countries all over the world. Nestlé
scientists also play their part in communicating the health and wellness benefits of products

Next issues that forced by Dutch Lady Industries is on February 13, 2018,
Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) has informed the media that they will investigate
the case about Dutch Lady Curious (900g) being harm to children. This news has been blown
up since one Facebook user upload his child’s rashes, claims that it was resulted after his
child consume the milk. Not only that, but the child also has other symptoms such as
diarrhea, cough, and mild fever. Similar case has been found in Petaling Jaya involving a
baby being ill after consuming the product. Managing director Tarang Gupta said the
company has sent samples of its baby formula for laboratory testing. “Upon receiving the
complaint, Dutch Lady launched immediate action to contact the consumer and conduct
internal checks, “In line with our procedure, a sample was obtained from the consumer and
sent to both our internal lab as well as a certified independent laboratory for testing,” he said
in a statement. The company said it is also cooperating closely with the Health Ministry to
resolve the issue.
The company is investigating the product Dutch Lady Curious (900g) with the
specific batch number of 1023C7WA. “Our findings from the internal quality control process
show that there are no quality deviations in the product and our milk is safe to be consumed,”
Gupta said. He also addressed social media speculation over Dutch Lady packaging details,
which Gupta said have been mistakenly identified as counterfeit indicators. He said all
authentic products begin with the batch codes of 100, 101, 102 and 103, expiry dates ending
with (R), (W1), (W2) and (W3), spellings of both “Calcium” and “Kalsium”, and the
Friesland Campina logo with and without a white box. “The public is advised to refrain from
spreading false information which could cause unnecessary public distress. “We take such
incidents seriously and reassure our customers their health and welfare are our highest
priority,” he said. The incident went viral on Sunday when it was alleged that a baby began
16
vomiting and experiencing diarrhea after drinking from a Dutch Lady pack with the “102”
label, which was also claimed to be colored differently.
On February 28, 2018, the Health Ministry said that milk products from Dutch Lady
are safe for consumption after receiving the results of laboratory tests today. Health director-
general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the ministry's Food Safety and Quality
Division had investigated Dutch Lady's Curious 900gm product for one- and two-year old,
following a February 13 complaint in which a child suffered rashes on its neck and groin,
coughing, diarrhea, and fever after consuming the product.
“The division has determined the manufacturing factory of the product follows a food
safety guarantee program, and analyses also revealed the product as being safe to consume,”
he said in a statement on the ministry’s Facebook page. Dutch Lady Malaysia managing
director Tarang Gupta said he was pleased with the Health Ministry’s announcement, adding
that it corroborated independent tests conducted by other laboratories in Malaysia and
Singapore that its products meet local and international food safety standards. “The ministry's
statement supports our initial findings that there are no product quality deviations, and our
milk is safe to be consumed. We are also happy to share that our investigations also
confirmed all Dutch Lady products sold in Malaysia are authentic, “With 55 years of
operations in Malaysia, our consumers' health and well-being remains our highest priority.
We thank them for their support and continuous trust in our brand,” he said in a separate
statement.
17
CONCLUSION
In manufacturing goods, there are a lot of opportunities to outperform our rivals. Next,
we will give exceptional customer support. Customers will have a lot of commitment to a
corporation that offers exemplary customer support. They are also much more likely to
suggest to families and friends the business. Effective customer support involves listening to
customer requests immediately and making the clients sound like humans, not figures. That
also involves supplying the clients with a variety of ways to get in touch. Many like to make
a phone call, others would email and even others want to get in touch via social media. First,
we will develop our brand as well. We're making customer decisions every day. We're faced
with a wide range as we head to the store. Like low fat yoghurt, for instance. What one we
choose isn't really down to a rigorous taste search. It's down to the product and our
perceptions of the industry behind it. The colors of our logo, the architecture of our website,
social media style and marketing materials express our brand. Build a brand picture that is
consistent and welcoming and consumers are far more likely to buy into our hype. In
addition, we will build a fantastic website and user interface as well. When we arrive on a
badly built website, we have all encountered that sense of annoyance. We don't know where
to find what we're searching for, slowly load pages and take an age for the checkout process.
We would be losing clients along the way if this looks like our website. Check and refresh
our website periodically so that it runs as efficiently as it can reasonably do. And to figure out
why and when consumers want to exit the website, use Google analytics. It can offer input
into the modifications you should make.
Nutrition diseases, or food-borne diseases, are described as the diseases with which
people are affected by the food they consume. This disorders are a common problem for
public health and are costly to manage. Foodborne illnesses arise from the ingestion of foods
and items which are affected. Food exposure creates bacteria, viruses, fungi, chemical agents
and toxins at any point, from development to consumption, and ultimately induces foodborne
illnesses. Ultimately, food safety concerns the intake process, where the presence and level of
foodborne disease are of primary concern. A basic imperative is the observance of stringent
18
control protocols in the food chain, provided that risks to food safety will surface at any point
of the chain. Thus, the responsibility for ensuring food quality is shared by all those
participating in the food chain. Numerous factors are involved in the implementation of a
food safety scheme. Beginning with the implementation of basic hygiene requirements by
laws and legislation, food suppliers shall apply food safety policies and practices, and official
authorities must supervise and audit firms in the food industry to ensure that they work in a
manner compliant with the regulations in effect. Cases of food poisoning that endanger public
health worldwide emerge as a consequence of food pollution at any point, from processing to
consumption. Whereas in theory, the factors jeopardizing food safety seem to be easy to
control, research and recent practices show that in reality there is still a long way to go. In
addition, storage temperatures and processes can also be upgraded. Dairy goods must be kept
at temperatures between 2 °C and 4 °C (36 ° to 39 °F) in the refrigerator. We have these rules
to follow. In dairy products, the fat helps to absorb heavy fumes from the storage atmosphere.
Store dairy goods in waterproof coverings in their own region to minimize the risk of this
occurring. We also do not store milk items in a cooler for vegetables. The fridge is far more
appropriate if we detach it. We must still keep the fridge tidy as well. First, as fresh products
come, we would rotate dairy products as well. It is not appropriate to order dairy products so
far in advance of when they will be used. These goods should preferably be delivered on a
regular basis.
