    As per the instructions of Railway Board vide letter cited under reference, a
    Special Safety Drive is launched for a period of 15 days, from 16.07.2022 to
    30.07.2022 on Strict Observance of Rules In Shunting Operations, duly emphasizing
    on the following points by all concerned Oficers & Supervisors during the drive period.

    1. Shunting should be done strictly following rules in GR 5.13 to 5.21 and


    associated SR especially in gradient sections.
    2. Observance and compliance of rules/instructions as contained in G&SR and
    SWR during shunting operations at stations and yards.
    3. Trains should run with proper BPC as per laid down norms. GDR checks on all
    rakes coming out of terminals after loading /unloading.
    4. Implementation of proper procedure by ASMs/SMs, LPs (Drivers), Guards and
    concerned staff for securing during stabling, shunting of rolling stock, Loc
    changing.
    5. It must be ensured that under no circumstances, staff should adopt short cut
    methods during maintenance/ repair/uwork execution.

    Suitable follow up action should be taken on all deficiencies and irregularities


    noticed during the drive. The results of the drive should be sent to this office by
    03.08.2022. Apart from sending hard copy, the report should invariably be sent both
    in PDF and MS Word document through E-Office and Email ie. csoswr@gmail.com or
    cso@swr.railnet.gov.in.

    BE GIVEN TO THE FOLOWING ASPECTS:

    1.SHUNTING SHOULD BE DONE STRICTLY FOLLOWING RULES IN GR 6.13 TO 8.21 AND


    ASSOCIATED SR ESPECIALLY IN GRADIENT SECTIONS.
    2. OBSERVANCE AND COMPLANCE OF RULES/INSTRuCTIONS AS CONTALNED IN G&SR
    AND SWR DURING SHUNTING OPERAT!ONS AT STATIONS AND YARDS.
    3.TRAINS SHOULD RUN WYTH PROPER BPC AS PER LAID DOWN NORMS. GDR CHECKS ON
    All. RAKES cOMING OUT OF TERMINALS AFTER LOADING/UNLOADING.
    4. IMPLEMENTATION OF PROPER PROCEDURE BY ASM/SM's, DRIVERS, GUARDS AND
    CONCERNED STAFF FOR SECURING DURING STABLING, SHUNTING OF ROLLNG
    STOCK, LOcO CHANGING
    5. IT MUST BE ENSURED THAT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, STAFF SHOULD ADOPT
    SHORT CUT METHODS DURING MAINTENANCE/REPAIR/WORK EXECUTION.
    SUTTABLE FOLLOW UP ACTION SHOULD BE TAKEN ON ALL DEFICIENCIES AND
    TRREGULARTTIES NOTICED DURING THE DRIVE. THE RESULTS OF THE DRIVE SHOULD BE
    SENT TO ROARD BY 05.08.2022. APART FROM SENDING HARD COPY, THE REPORT
    SHOULD
    INVARIABLY BE UPLOADED ON SMDMS BoTH IN PDF AND MS WORD DOcUMENT, MAY
