1. This is to advise you that your offer for the captioned subject work has been accepted by
. the Competent Authority at the rate of 5.30% (Five point Three Zero percent) below the
basic cost of the Schedule of items A, B & C at a total cost of Rs.133,74,34,645/-

(Rupees One Hundred Thirty Three Crore, Seventy Four Lakh, Thirty Four Thousand,
Six Hundred and Forty Five only) with a completion period of 24 months (Twenty Four
S Months) from the date of issue of this Letter of Acceptance.

I 2. As per clause 32.0 of Special Conditions of Contract — Part A, you are requested to
. execute a Performance Guarantee for 5% of Contract value in the manner specified and

3. After fulfilling the requirements as per para 2 above, you are requested to direct your
authorized representative of this tender to contact this office for signing the Contract
Agreement within seven days after receipt of notice issued by KRCL that such
documents are ready. It may please be noted that until a Formal Agreement is executed,
this letter will be binding contract between your firm and KRCL, and this will be merged
into the Contract Agreement to be executed. Also, please note that if you do not execute
the Contract Agreement document within seven days after receipt of notice issued by
KRCL that such documents are ready or do not commence the work within 30 days of
receipt of this letter, your full value of EMD shall stand forfeited.

4. You are requested to contact Dy.CEiR&T/Kauri, immediately and start the work.

5. You are requested to contact Regional Labour Commissioner and obtain necessary
Labour license for the above work and advise this office accordingly.

6. A spare copy of this letter is also enclosed to enable you to signify your unconditional
acceptance by clearly endorsing "Unconditionally Accepted" and signing each page
under your seal and signature of authorized representative and return the same within
three days of receipt thereof.

. Laying of track slab and installation of track work for plain track including transitions with UIC 60
J- J head hardened rails with all fittings and fastenings etc complete in tunnels, formations, yards, bridges,

NOTE:
1 The rails will be provided free of cost by KRCL at Stock Yard in Reasi, Kauri & Dugga. The transportation of Rails from stock yard to different site of work will be within the scope of work and covered
in the quoted rates.

2 Turnouts & its connected fittings will be provided free of cost by KRCL at Stock Yard in Reasi, Kauri & Dugga. The transportation of Turnouts & its connected fittings from stock yard to different site of
work will be within the scope of work and covered in the quoted rates. However, fittings connected with track slab shall be provided by successful tenderer. No extra payment is admissible in this
account.
3 The above rates include all wastages.

4 No extra payment for loading, unloading, handling, lead, lift, stacking, storage, security will be made unless specified otherwise in the tender document. The quoted rates are deemed to be inclusive of
all these components.
5 All the materials required for construction work are to be brought by the contractor at his own cost unless mentioned other wise in the tender document.

Rates for all the above items are inclusives of labour, materials, plant & equipment, consumables, quality Control, testing, compaction & curing of concrete unless mentioned other wise in the items.
