    Watch the Pixar Film: Monsters Inc. Your next
    big project (and ISU) will be to create your own
    30 second animation. You will be using Monsters
    as your main characters. Your animation will go
    through many stages before it is complete. The
    characters will have to be designed and
    developed. You will have to come up with a
    plot and a short storyline. You will need to
    create a visual storyboard and then you will have
    to digitally draw and animate your cartoon using Adobe Flash.

    Answer the following questions while watching the movie.

    1. What are some of the physical traits that catch your attention about the monsters.

    2. What body types do you think would be the most difficult to animate. Which do you
    think would be the easiest? Why?

    3. How do the animators show emotions in the characters?


    4. What sound effects are used to convey scene mood and tempo?

    5. How will you make your monster character show emotion?
