ACCESSING COMPUTER PROGRAMS AND PRODUCING OUTPUT USING
COMPUTER

I. Introductory Concept

activities. An application program is a computer program designed to
perform a group of coordinated functions, tasks, or activities for the benefit
of the user.

Computer Programs

Programs Use of programs

Word Processor MS Word and Word Perfect are both common

word processors. It works as an electronic
typewriter, and more. The user can easily generate
quality documents like memos and reports using
word processors.

These are programs that represent a paper divided

into rows and columns, where it is possible to
position values. These are used for complex
numerical analysis and for other calculation
purposes. Some of the more common programs in
the spreadsheet are Lotus 1-2-3, MS Excel, Open
Calculate and Google Sheets

programs/software are Gimp, Photoshop,
CorelDraw, and CAD (Computer Aided Design)

These include videos and online lessons that

provide students with information or training in a
subject or skill, such as math or science or
gardening or cooking.

These are programs which simulate real games or

give users entertainment and adventure.

These are programs which enable computers to

connect in different areas, allowing their users to
communicate with each other.

These provide the programmers with the tools they

need to write programs and computer instructions.
These can be Open English and Duolingo.
