WHY MTS
MTS is the only institute in the world having its own Formula Race cars which are
exclusively dedicated to Motorsports Engineering and the campus is located inside
a Formula 1 Tack in Italy. MTS today has more than a decade of track record to prove
that the students MTS are being successfully able to excel in the field of Motorsports
after completing training with MTS and are working in almost all the F1, F2, Moto GP,
and best of the motorsport’s companies around the world.
LOCATiON
MTS is located in Monza at the Monza
Formula 1 Circuit. The temple of racing
and the stage of the Italian Grand Prix.
Students of MTS have the opportunity to
attend lessons in the classrooms and the
pits of the race track and practice what
the professionals do every day in the
world of racing.
MTS has also come up with a new campus

in Lesmo, close to the Monza Circuit. This is
a futuristic workshop where students
are encouraged to participate in
practical activities and to work on
the engineering aspect of racing
cars and racing motorbikes.
ABOUT US
Motorsport Technical School – MTS, was incepted in the year 2011 by Eugenia
Capanna, former racing driver and Team Manager of a professional motorsports
team. The idea stems from years of experience in the field of Motorsports and the
need for motorsport teams to rely on highly specialized mechanics and race
engineers. The school is aimed to train aspiring young engineering students
interested in the field of motorsports, and
teams that decide to invest in training
their staff to increase their professionalism
and skills.
There are several leading companies from

the field of Motorsports who believe in the
importance of investing in training. They
are supporting us with didactic and
transfer of knowledge to the students of
our different engineering programs.

The Master in Race Engineering aims at providing training to the Engineers who
would like to work in the field of Motorsports in synergy with Race Mechanics and
Telemetries in race tracks around the world with the knowledge acquired from
lectures and practical training on racing cars during the course of the Race
Engineering program in MTS Campus.
The task of a Race Engineer is to find the right setup for the race car by adapting it to
the circuit and the driver and to develop the correct race strategies. In order to do
this, he or she has to interact not only with the driver but also with the Performance
Engineer, Race Mechanics, Telemetries and all other technicians and professionals
from various departments of the team to deliver the best possible setup for the race
car within the boundaries of the rules of the race in hand.
MTS's Master for Race Engineers follows the same methodology of training as all the
other courses. A practical approach with sessions in the pits, with an in-depth study
of the various motor parts and their importance. For e.g.: shock absorbers, their
functions, and how to do the setup of a race car. It also includes 3 practical sessions
on the track with a race car driven by a professional racing driver as well as session
on the professional simulator. MTS creates homogeneous classes for students from
different continents, in order to meet the specific needs of students from all over the
world.
During the course, there will be visits and lessons by leading Motorsport companies
such as McLaren, Pirelli F1, and Xtrac who could also make their technicians available
for exclusive teaching.
