which is the Welcome Park in Davao Oriental followed by the Cape San Agustin, Mt. Hamiguitan Range
Wildlife Sanctuary, Sleeping Dinosaur, Subangan Museum, Dahican, and lastly the Mati Baywalk Park.

ambiance of the place where the mountains meet the sea. On one side of the place, there is a mangrove
and on the other side you can see the “pink beach” they called and you can actually take a dip if you
want to. Also, there’s a giant rock there where you can climb and take a picture from the top.

SLEEPING DINOSAUR View Deck
Sleeping Dinosaur has become an amazing and wonderful Island in Davao oriental. It has become
popular because it resembles a sleeping dinosaur from afar, the islands elevated and hilly land
resembles a dinosaur’s back while the narrow flat land on the left side looks like a head. The Island is
striving for vegetation and is rich with life, most of the area are compost of forest, coconut farm and rice
field.
Do you want to have an overview of the whole Dav Or? Then this museum is a perfect place for you.
Welcome to Subangan Museum.
East is what subangan means it is from the Bisayan word subang, subang can also be means sunrise or
the place where the sun rise. The area of building this magnificent museum was around the year 2010,
when an unfortunate event happened during the shore of San Isidro and Governor Generoso Town. A 20
metric ton of sperm whale has drifted along the shore. When this event happened the people of
province has decided that the 53ft long mammal should have its bone retrieved and preserved. The
mammal was then named DAVOR, Dava for Davao and OR for Oriental. Moreover, the museum
showcases the province’s history, beauty, abundance, wealth, cultural heritage, economy, and its
people.
Our next destination will be one of the famous beaches here in Dav Or. White sand beach, pristine
waters, huge waves, local dive and rich marine biodiversity, welcome to Dahican Beach Resort. A
crescent shape white beach in idyllic Barangay Dahican famed for skim boarding, diving and surfing is a
delightful place for a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life or for simply watching the
sea cows (dugong), dolphins, turtles and whale sharks in its blue clear bay waters.
The Mati Bay walk Park welcomes everyone by its huge greeting displayed fronting the sea read as I Love
Mati (in which the word “love” is replaced by a heart shape) surrounded the man-made water fountain.
It is also where important events in the city are held such as the Sambuokan Festival – the most colorful
and much awaited celebration of the people of Mati in a week-long of thanksgiving for the year’s
blessings of bountiful harvests and in observance of the founding anniversary of the city every 29th of
October.
