EFFECTS OF COVID-19 ON THE EDUCATION SYSTEM IN OUR COMMUNITY.

CONCEPTUAL REVIEW
Since the beginning of the pandemic most educational institutions around the community have
transitioned to fully online study model, at least during peak times of infections and social distancing
measures. This transition has not been easy and even two years into the pandemic, problems with
online teaching and studying persist.
While the increasing gap between those with access to technology and equipment and those
without access has been determined to be one of the main challenges.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM.


The problem was concerned with the effect of Covid-19 on the education system.

PURPOSE OF THE STUDY


Since teachers and students cannot wait for circumstances to go back to normal, the measures that
schools and universities have implemented during the last two years ,their advantages and
disadvantages, and the impact of t those measures Students progress satisfaction and well being
needed to be understood So that improvement can be made and demographics that have been left
behind can receive the support they need as soon as possible.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES.
To identify what changes in the learning environment we are considered the most challenging and
how those changes relate to a variety Of student outcome measures we conducted surveys and
interviews among teachers and students at 10 schools.
Responses were analyzed with a focus on different student demographics and how they might have
been affected differently by the current situation
Research questions.
What is the effect of COVID- 19 on the education system today?
How has COVID-19 affected students in our community today?

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The lockdown left a lot of children Out of school my left but the lockdown will not impact all regions
equally for example the UN estimates the pandemic impact that secondary education sector will be
greatly born by law average born by low income house holds in both private and public schools.
The loss of instructional time due to lock down hurt our community the most because it a key player
in reducing poverty .
Supporting the educational sector is critical because such a larger percentage of the community
population has the potential to increase capital and improve economic growth.
Distance learning has became synonymous with technology, that are massive gaps in access to
technology among rural areas like our community.
