1. Different Filipino who excels in Individual and Dual Sports


I. EMMANUEL DAPIDRAN PACQUIAO SR. "MANNY PACQUIAO"
 Manny Pacquiao made his professional debut as a junior flyweight on January 22,
1995, at the age of 16. Almost all his early battles were televised on Blow by Blow,
and his all-action style and endearing smile quickly made him a fan favorite among
Filipino boxing fans. Pacquiao made his debut at the Alamodome in Texas, defeating
world-class featherweight boxer Marco Antonio Barrera via TKO. Following that
fight, he established himself as a global force to be reckoned with.
II. HIDILYN FRANCISCO DIAZ
 Hidilyn Francisco Diaz is a Filipino weightlifter and airwoman who was the first
Filipino to win an Olympic gold medal for the Philippines in the women's 55kg
weightlifting tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics, making history for the
Philippines. In her early weightlifting career, she won a bronze medal at the 2007
SEA Games in Thailand and finished 10th in the 53-kilogram class at the 2006 Asian
Games. She won two gold medals and one silver medal in the Asian Youth/Junior
Weightlifting Championship in Jeonju, South Korea while a student at Universidad
de Zamboanga. She started competing in the 2008 Summer Olympics as the
youngest competitor in the women's 58-kg weight class. The Philippines' 20-year
Olympic medal drought came to an end when Diaz won the silver medal in the
women's 53-kg weight division at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Diaz was the first
Filipino to do so since 1936 in a non-boxing event.
III. EFREN MANALANG “BATA” REYES
 Most people consider Efren Reyes to be the most well-known and highest-ranked
pool player in the world. He is also regarded as the best pool player in the world.
Efren Reyes is not only known for being difficult to beat when he is at his best. Many
professional players like him because he is usually calm and relaxed. Efren Reyes is
known as "The Magician" for his exceptional performance on the pool table, having
won more than 100 professional events and more than 80 international titles. He is
a legend, the greatest of all time."

2. Define Arnis and the origin of this martial sports.


 The Philippines' national martial art sport is arnis. It also goes by the names Kali and
Eskrima. This sport truly places a strong emphasis on weapon-based combat, which involves
the use of knives, bladed weapons, sticks, and other improvised weapons.

Arnis is a combat sport in which two combatants attempt to score more points by striking
their opponent with a stick in the appropriate manner. Arnis is a straightforward martial art
that requires using sticks to protect oneself, therefore it should help people learn self-
control and discipline. The Filipinos needed to perfect their own efficient and fundamental
style of battle because they were frequently needed to defend themselves against attacks
from other nations as well as other towns. As a result, Arnis was developed to protect one's
life (and the lives of their family members) when they are in danger.
