A guide to registering for a Singpass account

Registering for Singpass with FV
1 Go to www.singpass.gov.sg. Click ‘Log in’.
2 Click ‘Register for Singpass’.
3 Enter the required details and check the boxes ‘I'm not a robot’
and ‘I have read and agree to the Terms of Use’. Click
‘Submit’.
4 Read the instructions on the page and click ‘Continue’ to
proceed with Face Verification.
5 Read the guidelines on the page. To allow the use of your
device’s camera for FV, click ‘Allow’ when prompted, and click
‘Begin Scan’.
6 You will see the following notification after successful
verification.
7 Ensure your details are correct. Submit a new password in the
‘New Password’ and ‘Confirm new password’ fields and click
‘Next’.

8 You have successfully registered for Singpass account. Click
‘Proceed to set up account’.

(i) Registered postal code will be displayed for users with a Singapore-registered address.
(ii) Passport number will be displayed for users with an overseas-registered address.
9 Enter your mobile number and/or your
email address; select your preferred
mode of contact; and if you wish to go
green with paperless notification.
After that, click ‘Next’.
Alternatively, you may click on ‘Skip’ if

you do not wish to provide your contact
details.
(i) The mobile number is a mandatory field only if your registered address is a local address.
(ii) Only Singapore-registered mobile numbers can be used to set up a Singpass account and SMS 2FA.
(iii) Overseas users with an overseas-registered address are only required to provide their email address.

10a If you have provided a mobile number during the registration,
a One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your mobile
number. Enter the OTP and click ‘Next’.

11 You have completed your Singpass account setup with
updated account details. You may now log in to your Singpass
account with your newly set up password.

Registering for Singpass
with a PIN mailer
Registering for Singpass with a PIN mailer
1 Go to www.singpass.gov.sg. Click ‘Log in’.
2 Click ‘Register for Singpass’.
3 Enter the required details and check the boxes ‘I'm not a robot’

‘Submit’.
4 Click ‘here’ if you do not have a camera on your device,
or if you do not wish to use Face Verification.
5 You have successfully registered for a Singpass account. Click
‘Proceed to set up account’.

overseas registered addresses, delivery time will depend on overseas postal services.

1 After receiving your password in the PIN mailer, go to
www.singpass.gov.sg. Click ‘Log in’.
2 Click ‘Use password login instead’.
3 Click ‘Password login’.
4 Enter your Singpass ID and the one-time Singpass password in
your PIN mailer. Click ‘Log in’.
5 Enter a new Singpass password and click ‘Next’.
6 You have successfully created your Singpass password.
Click ‘Proceed’.
7 Under Set up SMS 2FA, click ‘here’.
8 Click ‘Activate Now’ under SMS 2FA.
9 Ensure the last four digits of your mobile number are correct.
Click ‘Activate’.
10 You have successfully activated your mobile number for SMS 2FA.

6 You have successfully created your Singpass password.

7 Under Set up SMS 2FA, click ‘here’.
8 Click ‘Register’ under SMS 2FA.
Only Singapore-registered mobile numbers can be used to register for SMS 2FA. If you are living overseas
or do not have a Singapore-registered mobile number, please use the Singpass app or Face Verification
as a 2FA.
9 Enter your mobile number. Click ‘Next’.
