EMS allows you to design (create) and maintain the functions related to
controlling the plant.
You use EMS to create the logic to be loaded into MPS, create the plant
graphics to be displayed on OPS, or perform other tasks.

OPS allows you to monitor and operate the plant.


You use the OPS to check how MPS is controlling the plant.

ACS stores the plant data collected by MPS at a specific interval.


ACS handles the peripheral devices such as printers.

MPS automatically controls the plant and enters control signals to the plant.
MPS receives data from the plant, processes it based on the control logic,
and sends appropriate control signals to the plant.

1) CPU Card:
A card to calculate for plant control. There are two, duplexed CPU cards.
One of CPU card is refereed to as A, while the other is called B.

2) Ethernet Interface Card:


A card to provide the interface to Ethernet as the plant data way.
There are two, duplexed Ethernet cards. One of Ethernet card is refereed
to as P, while the other is called Q.

3) D-Ring Network:
A local network to provide the interface between the process I/O and
the CPU. This local network is configured by a ring type network.
There are two, redundancies network lines. One of the D-Ring Network
line is refereed to as A ring and the other is called B ring.

4) SIOS:
A card to monitor the CPU condition and to provide the interface between
the D-Ring Network and the CPU.

5) SSCG :
A gateway unit to provide the interface between the SIOS and the D-Ring
Network.

6) IOA:
A bridge unit to provide the interface between process I/O and the D-Ring
Network.

Turbine Control Module is an exclusive module for turbine control.

A bridge unit for a remote network configuration.
The D-Ring Network is configured to the remote network by using this

6 design tools - called Window – to handle engineering and maintenance tasks.
System Window : To define system composition and hardware composition.
Logic Window :To create control-computing logic.
Graphic Window : To create plant graphic screens.
HMI Window : To create Plant operation screens and loop plate.
Document Window : To edit I/O list etc. with a property-editing tool.
Drawing Window : To convert design data created by each Window to PDF-format files.

> Overview This function has a layer configuration and is composed of the tree
configuration set by “Overview Function” of DIASYS-IDOL++, an
engineering tool.
The IO ring topology graphic screen(*) is displayed here as a default.

> Master Data This function has a layer configuration and is composed of folders
sorted by OPS functions such as “Graphics”, “Control Screens”,
“Real-time Trends”, “MPS Logics”, etc.

> My Drawer Users can freely create the folders. The files created by Profile or
Snap Shot functions (**) are registered here.

> ACS This folder contains the data stored in the ACS when the ACS is
available.

> Neighborhood With security-mode reset and set to display, (See [TAS71-U056E]
OPS 2.2.2 "(2) Security-Mode Reset"), “My Drawer” of other OPS are
displayed if there are multiple OPS.

System status display of D-Ring Network equipment is provided as IO Ring topology function.
Status of each component is displayed by color on the IO ring topology graphic.
The IO ring topology screen is located in the “Overview” folder of OPS explorer as a default.
