EMS allows you to design (create) and maintain the functions related to
controlling the plant.
You use EMS to create the logic to be loaded into MPS, create the plant
graphics to be displayed on OPS, or perform other tasks.
MPS automatically controls the plant and enters control signals to the plant.
MPS receives data from the plant, processes it based on the control logic,
and sends appropriate control signals to the plant.

1) CPU Card:
A card to calculate for plant control. There are two, duplexed CPU cards.
One of CPU card is refereed to as A, while the other is called B.
3) D-Ring Network:
A local network to provide the interface between the process I/O and
the CPU. This local network is configured by a ring type network.
There are two, redundancies network lines. One of the D-Ring Network
line is refereed to as A ring and the other is called B ring.
4) SIOS:
A card to monitor the CPU condition and to provide the interface between
the D-Ring Network and the CPU.
5) SSCG :
A gateway unit to provide the interface between the SIOS and the D-Ring
Network.
6) IOA:
A bridge unit to provide the interface between process I/O and the D-Ring
Network.
7) Backplane:
A unit to mount the SSCG, IOA, SCG and I/O modules.
For IO Module
8) I/O Module:
A module to handle input/output signals connected with plant
field.
OPC: Over Speed Protection Module EOST: Electrical Over Speed Trip Module
9) SCG :
A bridge unit for a remote network configuration.
The D-Ring Network is configured to the remote network by using this
module.

6 design tools - called Window – to handle engineering and maintenance tasks.
System Window : To define system composition and hardware composition.
Logic Window :To create control-computing logic.
Graphic Window : To create plant graphic screens.
HMI Window : To create Plant operation screens and loop plate.
Document Window : To edit I/O list etc. with a property-editing tool.
Drawing Window : To convert design data created by each Window to PDF-format files.
