1. What are some of Xiaomi’s greatest competitive strengths?

Xiaomi's strengths look at the key aspects of the firm that provide it a competitive edge in the
industry. Financial strength, experienced people, product innovation, and intangible assets such
as brand value are all examples of a brand's strengths.

2. In your opinion, what other attack or defense strategy could help Xiaomi expand its market
share internationally? Explain.

Xiaomi may employ the concept of continual development. A continuous improvement

approach entails a never-ending quest of cost, product quality, new product development,
production procedures, and distribution improvements. The areas to enhance are determined
by the organization's value proposition. A low-cost rival is constantly looking for methods to cut
expenses via economies of scale, cost saving, and the introduction of new manufacturing
processes a distinct firm seeks methods to sustain its competitive edge by, among other things,
innovation, quality improvements, and new features. The continuous improvement strategy also
includes marketing mix innovation and improvement. Offering improved features or advantages
is one example of product innovation.

3. Aside from the Coronavirus pandemic, what do you think are the potential challenges that
could halt Xiaomi’s globalization?

Xiaomi offers electronics to consumers straight online. Although it is a widely recognized model
in many regions, carriers and long-term contract negotiations continue to dominate in the
United States and much of Europe. It might be difficult for OEMs to reach agreements with
carriers. If you want shelf space, they want a cut, design input, and their bloatware pre-installed.
Even Google has had mixed results selling products directly online. Even at bargain pricing, the
upfront cost frequently exceeds the on-contract deal. Contracts cost people a lot more in the
long run, but it's a model they're used to, and it's still the prevalent one. The online-only
strategy has limits.

4. Compared with other smartphone brands, is Xiaomi a cloner, imitator, or adapter? Justify your
answer.

Xiaomi is an imitator since it closely resembles Apple's marketing strategy. There are,
nevertheless, some significant distinctions between them. Xiaomi certainly has a different
approach to design, customization, and many other aspects of its mobile device company, but
when it comes to marketing, it has brazenly copied Apple. It didn't simply imitate Apple; it also
exploited copyrighted images in its marketing.
