B. Establishing a purpose for Look at the aquarium and the wooden box. Which of these two objects can hold
the lesson water and if it can, which of them will take more amount of water? Explain.
Based on the illustration, the aquarium will take a greater amount of water as
compared to the wooden box because it has more space to hold more amount
of water.
In real life situation the wooden box cannot hold water unlike aquarium
because it can only be hold solid? These objects are examples of solid figures.

What is the right side of the box? Does it have same shape with the one on the

Objects in the real world are called three-dimensional if they have length,
width and height. In Mathematics, the three-dimensional objects are known as
solid figures.
