Divine Mercy Chaplet

Opening Prayers
† You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy
opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole
world and empty Yourself out upon us.
Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I
trust in You! (Repeat three times)
Our Father
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be
done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as
we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from
evil, Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and
blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and

Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His
only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered
under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day
He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the
Father almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy
Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection
of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
Eternal Father
Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly
Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

On the Ten Small Beads of each Decade:

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Repeat for the remaining decades: Saying the "Eternal Father" on the "Our Father" bead
and then 10 "For the sake of His sorrowful Passion" on the following "Hail Mary" beads.

Concluding Prayer
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Jesus King of Mercy, we trust in you!

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion — inexhaustible, look
kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor
become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love
and Mercy itself. †
 TUESDAY
Devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus (St. Therese’s Devotion)

1. Make the sign of the cross...

“O God, come to my assistance; O Lord make haste to help me. Glory be...”
2. On every big bead: “My Jesus, Mercy,” followed by the “Glory be…”
3. Pray this six times: “Arise, O Lord! and let Thy enemies be scattered, and let them that
hate Thee flee from before Thy Face.”
Repeat numbers 1 and 2, until the chaplet/ rosary is finished.
4. While holding the Cross: “God, our Protector, look on us and look on the Face of Thy
Christ.”
5. Lastly, say the devotional prayer of St. Therese of the Child Jesus to the Holy Face:

PRAYER OF ST. THERESE TO THE HOLY FACE

“O Jesus, who in Thy bitter Passion didst become "the most abject of men, a man of sorrows", I
venerate Thy Sacred Face whereon there once did shine the beauty and sweetness of the Godhead;
but now it has become for me as if it were the face of a leper! Nevertheless, under those disfigured
features, I recognize Thy infinite Love and I am consumed with the desire to love Thee and make
Thee loved by all men. The tears which well up abundantly in Thy sacred eyes appear to me as
so many precious pearls that I love to gather up, in order to purchase the souls of poor sinners by
means of their infinite value. O Jesus, whose adorable Face ravishes my heart, I implore Thee to
fix deep within me Thy divine image and to set me on fire with Thy Love, that I may be found
worthy to come to the contemplation of Thy glorious Face in Heaven. Amen.” †

Perpetual Novena in honor of St. Therese of the Child Jesus

† Saint Therese, the Little Flower, please pick me a rose from the heavenly garden and send it
to me with a message of love. Ask God to grant me the favor I thee implore and tell Him I will
love Him each day more and more. Amen

Miraculous Invocation to St. Therese
O Glorious St. Therese, whom Almighty God has raised up to aid and inspire the human family,
I implore your Miraculous Intercession.
You are so powerful in obtaining every need of body and spirit from the Heart of God. Holy
Mother Church proclaims you "Prodigy of Miracles... the greatest saint of Modern Times."
Now I fervently beseech you to answer my petition (mention in silence here) and to carry out
your promises of spending heaven doing good on earth... of letting fall from Heaven a Shower
of Roses.
Little Flower, give me your childlike faith, to see the Face of God in the people and experiences
of my life, and to love God with full confidence.
St. Therese, my Carmelite Sister, I will fulfill your plea "to be made known everywhere" and I
will continue to lead others to Jesus through you. Amen.
Prayer for Priests (by St. Therese)
O Jesus, I pray for your faithful and fervent priests;
for your unfaithful and tepid priests;
for your priests laboring at home or abroad in distant mission fields.
for your tempted priests;
for your lonely and desolate priests;
For your young priests;
for your dying priests; for the souls of your priests in Purgatory.
But above all, I recommend to you the priests dearest to me:
the priest who baptized me;
the priests who absolved me from my sins;
the priests at whose Masses I assisted and who gave me Your Body and Blood

† Hesus Nazareno, ang ngalan mong ito ay ipinasulat ni Poncio Pilato sa ulunan ng iyong Krus
sa Kalbaryo upang ipagunita ang iyong katapatan sa kalooban ng Diyos Ama na mamuhay ka sa
Nazareth nang masunurin sa Mahal na Inang Maria at masupag na tumulong kay San Jose.
Tulungan mo kaming mamuhay tulad ng Iyong ginampanan sa Nazareth, sa buklod ng pag-ibig

Si Kristo Hesus bagama't siya'y Diyos ay hindi nagpumilit na manatiling kapantay ng Diyos.

Panalanging Pasasalamat

Diyos Ama sa kalangitan, lakas-loob kaming dumudulog sa Iyo sa pangunguna ng Poong Hesus
Nazareno at sa buklod ng Espiritu Santo. Sa iyong pagpapala, biyaya at pagbabasbas na aming
kinakamit araw-araw, lalo na sa pakikinabang sa Banal na Sakramento, nagpapasalamat kami sa

Devotion to Ina Poon Bato

Prayer for Contrition

† Leader: We are now gathered around the miraculous image of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ina
Poon Bato, to make us worthy to perform this devotion to her, let us first of all examine our
conscience and seek forgiveness for the sins we have committed because of human weakness.
(A brief moment of silence)
All: Our Heavenly Father on bended knees, we come to you to ask pardon for the sins that
we have committed and seek healing for our wounded humanity. In your mercy turn again your
face towards us and in your great love again allow us to walk again in your presence. Through
this, we will certainly experience your infinite love and share it with others. Allow us to start
anew in striving to do your will in the example of your son Jesus and his mother Mary who is
also our Mother. Amen.

Prayer of Thanksgiving
Our Lord Jesus Christ, we thank you whole heartedly because of the great love you showed
for us all. When the end of your dwelling among us came, you left with us one great intercessor
and guide through our earthly life, your Blessed Mother Mary, who is also our Ina Poon Bato.
May her prayer always guide us in the challenges of this earthly life of ours. And as a sign
of our great debt of gratitude for the love you have showed us through her, allow us to express
our devotion and love to her whom you have lovingly entrusted to us to be our mother. May this
in turn be unceasing to you and to your immaculate mother, our Ina Poon Bato. Amen.

Novena Prayer
O Mary Ina Poon Bato, allow us this day to express our deep love for you and the firm faith
we have for your son in this devotion. Please hear our supplications (mention your petitions).
Even since you were found amongst the native Aetas, your love for us and your guidance have
never wavered and it continues to be experienced by us until now. In this, we know that the love
you brough us which comes only from the Father and your son is constant and ever to be trusted.
In your motherly and powerful prayers, bring our prayers to your son. Strengthen further
our hearts so that our journey in this life will be guided by you, and its end will lead us to the
glory of the Father and the coming of his kingdom.
Open our eyes to the signs of the times so that rooted in God’s self-revelation in the various
events of our lives, we may know and love him better. May we further know the value of
intercession with your son and may we live out the challenges of being true Christians. Amen.
 Prayer for the Sick
Oh our loving Mother, we also remember today in this devotion our brethren who are sick.
May they see their suffering as a form of participation in the suffering that our Lord underwent
to win for us salvation.
May your prayer give them strength and teach each one of us the value of faith, trust and
sympathy. May our prayers bring our sick brethren healing and for us well who are gathered here
today.
Please bring to the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ our supplications. Amen. †

Devotion to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel

Act of Contrition
O my God and Savior, as I kneel in the presence of your Divine Majesty, I am overcome
with grief for having so offended you, for having so often rejected your graces and inspirations.
You, O my God, do I recognize as my God and Savior. You do I believe in, hope in and trust in,
confiding in your mercy that my sins may be forgiven, that my past faults may be blotted out and
that I may, from this day hencefirth, renew my dedication to you.
I love you, my God, above all things and I am heartily soory for having so offended you,
for having been a wayward child of yours. I confess that I have been ungrateful, that I have strayed
far from you, that I have failed to use your grace and assistance. Admitting my faults, I repent of
them and promise never more to offend you.
In this vale of tears, Divine Savior, punish me but spare me for eternity, never to offend
you. I will confess my sins, I will do penance for my transgressions. Dear Lord, help me to make
of my life an offering to you, worthy of your divine majesty.
During this devotion, help me to know you better, to love you more and to serve you more
faithfully. Grant me the favor which I ask of you, if it to be the greater honor and glory of God
and the good of my own soul.
Opening Prayer
O Virgin Mary, Mother of God, special protectress of all who wear the scapular of Carmel,
be to me a true mother and make me better to appreciate and love Christ Jesus. Ask your beloved
son that he may pardon me from my sins, that he may free me from my enemies and thus, I may
be able to save my immortal soul. How much do I need your help also, O Mother of God, thereto;
how much do I need thy counsels and assistance amid the storms aand trials of life.

Obtain for me, especially during the course of this novena, which I am making to thee,
Nuestra Senora del Carmen, that I may share thy sentiments of love toward Christ Jesus, that I
may be worthy to associate with the angels and saints of heaven, that I may join my voice with
theirs to praise thy son forever and ever. Amen.
Novena Prayer
Blessed and Immaculate Virgin, splendid beauty of Carmel, you look with love on all who
wear your blessed habit; look kindly on me and spread the mantle of your loving protection
overall mankind. By the power of your intercession strengthen my weakness, and by your wisdom
light up the darkness of my mind. Increase in me those virtues in which you excelled — faith,
hope and love; adorn my soul with such graces and virtues that it may ever be pleasing to your
divine Son. Assist me in all the activities of life, and, by your presence consolezzzzz me at the
time of my death. In that hour present me to the Blessed Trinity as your child redeemed by the
blood of your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen. O Queen, who are the beauty of Carmel, pray
for us now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
O Beautiful Flower of Carmel, most fruitful vine, splendor of heaven, holy and singular,
who brought forth the Son of God, still ever remaining a pure virgin, assist us in our necessity! O
Star of the Sea, help and protect us! Show us that you are our Mother!

Concluding Prayer
O Most Holy Virgin of Carmel, as thy child, I desire that all may share the privelege and
honor of being enrolled under the protection of the scapular of Mt. Carmel. May all Catholics
know the sweetness of thy interest in us, the strength of thy love, the joy of belonging to you
under the insignia of Carmel.
Look upon us with eyes of tenderness and pity and take heed of our needs and petitions.
Be mindful of the many worries and necessities of our Holy Father, the Pope and aid him in his
arduos tasks. Consider our misery, have compassion upon us poor sinners. In our prayers for
friends and relatives, do you take heed and on those who may be outside the fold of the Catholic
Church, have mercy on them, O Lady of Mount Carmel... Poor non-Christians, do you assist so
that they may come to a knowledge of God. Aid them and draw them from the shadow of death
and the darkness of paganism. May they all be brought into the fond embrace of the Catholic
Church Amen.
