Instruction:
As part of your community Development learning on the initial coverage of our discussion
knowing the UBICEPS of MCU, your role as the youth of our society, the different socio-cultural,
political, and economic conditions, the principles of community development and participatory
community, and the perspective of the community, your task now is to create a program in the
community that will be beneficial to the residents of the recipients.
Since you are beginning to plan for a program, use the tables below by filling in the necessary
data for your plan and proposed activity. I am encouraging you this time to limit your plan and
implementation to health promotion.

Target population: The target audience of the group’s health promotion program is the
entire population of Barangay 143.

Platform of the The group decided to conduct, implement and deliver their health
delivery: promotion program about the importance of vaccination onsite in the
barangay hall of Barangay 143, Malabon City.

1. The people involved in the communication flow will prepare an


invitation letter for the facilitators and the targeted population of
Malabon City's barangay 143.
2. The individuals in charge will also write a letter of permission
addressed to the barangay captain.
3. The written letters, which include an invitation letter and a
permission letter, will be forwarded to the program coordinators.
4. Once the group has consent, one of their members will inform
the barangay captain in person or via email regarding the plans
for their program.
5. The permission letter will be submitted to the barangay captain
for approval

9:00 Registration
- The registration will be Facilitated by: Katrina
Vardeleon
- The Participants of the program will first head to
the group’s admission of registration to fill out the
attendance form.

9:10 Preparation
- The technical team of the group: Jenica
Evangelista and Laeden Damian will prepare the
materials and equipment needed for the group’s
presentation.
- The PowerPoint presentation will be managed
during the discussion by: Hannah Dimatulac
- Documentation will be facilitated by: Hannah
Madrilejo

9:20 Opening Remarks and Introduction of


Speakers
- Speakers: Leigh Macapinlac, Zhairiel Malaban,
and Daryll Joven.
- The speakers will introduce themselves and greet
the audience.
- A welcome speech is given by the first speaker,
Leigh Macapinlac, to address and welcome the
coordinators and all the participants.
- The first speaker, Leigh Macanpinlac, will also
give a brief introduction and overview of the
Program flow: purpose of our program.

9:25 Icebreaker
- Facilitated by: Zhairiel Malabanan
- An icebreaker will be used to welcome and warm
up the program among participants.
- The winners of the icebreaker will be given a
prize provided by the group.

- The speaker will introduce the definition and its
mechanism inside our body

9:35 First topic: Recommended Vaccinations Based on


Age
- Speaker: Leigh Macapinlac
- Recommendations for Vaccination and its doses
are discussed for the participants to learn what
other vaccines they need.
- Vaccines that the speaker mentions are:
Anti-varicella Vaccine, COVID-19 Vaccine, Flu
Vaccine, Hepatitis A Vaccine, Hepatitis B Vaccine,
MMR Vaccine, PCV Vaccine, IPV Vaccine,
Tetanus Toxoid Vaccine, and BCG Vaccine.
- The speaker will also address those who are
eligible for these immunizations.
9:40 Second Topic: Diseases that can be prevented by
vaccination
- Speaker: Zhairiel Malabanan
- The speaker will discuss Vaccine-preventable
diseases such as Chickenpox, COVID-19,
influenza, Hepatitis A & B, Measles, Pneumonia,
Polio, Tetanus, and Tuberculosis.
- The description, causes, and mode of
transmission will be briefly discussed by the
speaker.

9:45 Third Topic: Possible Side Effects


- Speaker: Zhairiel Malabanan
- The Discussion will be focused on Understanding
Adverse Events and Side Effects of Vaccines.
- When should we worry about the side effects?
- The Vaccines that are discussed are:
Anti-Varicella Vaccine, Flu Vaccine, Tetanus
Vaccine, COVID-19 Vaccine, Pneumonia Vaccine,
BGC Vaccine, MMR Vaccine, Polio Vaccine,
Hepatitis A Vaccine, and Hepatitis B Vaccine

9:50 Fourth topic: Importance of Vaccination


- Speaker: Daryll Joven
- The discussion is focused on vaccinations being
an essential part of a family and public health.
- The speaker will discuss and explain how
vaccination can protect human beings, their
family, and children against certain diseases.

9:55 Fifth Topic: Programs of the Government


- Speaker: Daryll Joven
- The speaker will briefly discuss the government’s
plan on vaccinations and how to access them.
- The promotion of free vaccines that are provided
by the local government will be explained here as
well.
- Programs and laws such as Republic Act No.
10152 and National Immunization Program are
included in the discussion.

Vaccination
- Speaker: Leigh Macapinlac
- The Speaker debunks common vaccine
misconceptions.
- To improve participants' awareness of
immunization, the speaker will emphasize the
core facts about vaccines vs the misconceptions.

- Facilitated by: Zhairiel Malabanan
- Participants are allowed to ask questions to the
presenters to resolve their concerns.
- The speaker will clarify any misunderstandings
raised by the participants.
