NOTE: Socketweld piping is required in this service below 2". Threaded piping is only permitted
where socketweld devices are not available. Where threaded piping is required (Limited to
11/2" NPT Maximum), the following shall apply:
1. Pipe wall thickness shall be Schedule XXH minimum.
2. Fitting ratings shall match those specified for socket weld fittings.
3. ASME B16.5, Pipe Flanges and Flange Fittings, shall be used to derate the maximum allowable
working pressure for temperatures from 37.8 to 343.3°C (100 to 650°F).
