Self-Introduction
GROWTH PROCESS:
I am highly gratified to you for the chance to describe myself being a candidate for MS in Health
Biotechnology at your prestigious institute. I would like to express my position in terms of my vision of
life, education, academic career, future academic career plan, and innate motivation to materialize my
vision. I belong to a very poor family and I am a resident of a very backward area in Pakistan. I have
inherited hardworking qualities from my father and moral training from my mother. My whole life,
especially my academic life has got its nourishment from highly competitive institutions. I passed my
matriculation with distinction. As I got a great interest in biology and that interest motivated me to do pre-
medical. During my F.Sc., I developed deep concepts in Biology. This penchant for biology has still opted
for me. It was in the midst of my under F.Sc in Biology commenced back in 2018, that I realized the
significance of setting goals and objectives. It started thinking towards an entirely different dimension. I
give credit to a handful of bio-science subjects that I studied during under graduation. I learned a lot of
new things and expanded my understanding of biology. I made up my mind to make biology my future
interest. So, I decided to do BS in Biotechnology. It was a beautiful time of my life when I got admission
to my all-time favorite faculty of biological sciences in one of the best universities in my country where I
honed my research capabilities. During my BS, I couldn’t. During my BS, I found that I have learned a lot
but I need to know more about biotechnology. It was a very selective time for me to select one field in
biology to do some research on Heath Biotechnology So I started my research on Health Biotechnology
with class fellows and teachers of Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan.
RESEARCH MOTIVATION:
Since my primary education, I was highly motivated in doing something exceptional in the field of Heath
biotechnology. I have been trained and supported by my parents and teacher for any big cause. My all-
biology classes/ lectures of stop matriculation, Intermediate, and bachelor are seemed full of questions that
I made to my teachers. They always appreciated and encouraged me. Mostly, I visited their offices with
valid and rational questions about all dilemmas of Biotechnology. My research interest backs me up to get
admission to one of the top-ranked universities in the country.
AIMS IN RESEARCH:
In my life, I have given myself a vision comprising of several goals, some relating to my personal life
and some to my life in the profession, which I do my best to accomplish. These goals are designed so to
make the most of the qualities that I have found in myself. One of such qualities is to investigate the
problems deeper and turn them into opportunities.
If you look into my career, I have always looked for entrepreneurial opportunities, I aim to work as a
researcher and convert my research into sellable ideas, win funds, create the company and sell to come
back to the innovation with a proud earning. That is where I want to see myself in the future. At this stage
of my career, I need to learn how to do research, how to dig deeper into the problems. My goal is to do
research. I have found the research fascinating since my academic days and further my qualifications
provided me with a strong ground in my motivation that was always towards “Heath Biotechnology”.
The unprecedented explosion of technology and information has brought about immense opportunities to
utilize new principles, methodologies, tools, and practices in the field of Heath Biotechnology.
RESEARCH INTEREST:
I am highly interested in bacterial resistance to antibiotics. Antibiotics are a medical wonder, but
an increasing frequency of resistance among most human pathogens is rendering them
ineffective. If this trend continues, the consequences for public health and for the general
community could be catastrophic. Due to the excessive use of antibiotics, they are losing their
efficiency. People don't bother to complete the course of a certain antibiotic neither they use the
actual dose of that antibiotic. This non-serious attitude develops a strong resistance to antibiotics.
I want to design and discover novel antibiotics that could destroy the protective shell of the
bacteria. The novel antibiotics can prove to be effective against a wide range of microorganisms.
Proposed Methodology:
I will perform Sample Collection and Preparation, Extraction and Determination of Antibiotics
Potential Risk Assessment of Antibiotics, for Farm Application Characterization of the
antibiotics, DNA Extraction, and Quantification of Antibiotic Resistance Genes, Pre-clinical
trials, statistical analysis.
Expected Outcomes:
The novel antibiotic will be isolated that will be propagated using the techniques used in
industrial biotechnology. The product will be harvested using downstream processing.
Financial Sponsor:
One of the world’s developing countries, Pakistan is vulnerable to a range of natural and man-made
disasters including earthquakes, droughts, floods, landslides, and civil conflict. Especially in rural areas,
Pakistanis struggle with a lack of safe drinking water, education, and health care. So, to further my career
aspirations, I want to get valuable experience by studying Master’s Degree in Heath Biotechnology in
China under a scholarship program for Pakistan. China Education Foundation is playing an appreciative
role in building the capacities of underserved populations across Pakistan and this program at Lanzhou
university China will do the same not only for me but for my family and then for the whole community.
