Product Status Report

The Product Status Report feature allows the user to capture the status of
a machine or engine at a specific moment in time. Data loaded from the
ECM is compiled in the Product Status Report and includes parameters,
user comments, and user-selected diagnostics and/or configuration
information. The report is automatically saved once it has been created
and may be viewed immediately or at a later time.

How to access Product
Status Report
Click on Information drop Click on the Product Status
down and select Product Status Report icon on Tool Bar

Report Name:
Defaults to PSRPT
(Product Status
Report) identifier,
followed by an
Engine Serial
Number or
Equipment ID

Note: when file is


saved, a date and
time stamp will also
be added to file name

defaults to folder
created by Cat ET

Clicking on icon
opens up Microsoft
browse window, and
file can be saved in
any location

Browse button will
open browse dialog

If multiple engines are
available, use the
drop down arrow to
select engine

Note: Fields with an


asterisk are
required fields

arrow to select
equipment

Click on equipment
you wish to choose.
This is NOT a
mandatory field

Technician Comments:
Provides a section for
the technician to
describe symptoms or
capture any other notes
to be included in the
report

Note: This is an
optional field

Download List:
Select all screens you
wish to include in the
status report. By
default, all boxes are
selected

All ECM specific


parameters can be
selected or deselected
by checking the ECM
check box

Create Report:
To create the report,
click on the Create
Report button at the
bottom of the screen.

A progress bar will
display indicating the
status of the report
being created

To open a previously saved Product Status Report:
Click on File select open, and click on Product Status Report
OR,
On Product Status Report screen, click on “Open Report” button

Select the file to be


viewed and click
Open

Clicking on the
View button
displays the
report within
Cat ET
Product Status Report
Navigating to the file in
Windows Explorer
opens the Product
Status Report in the
default Internet
browser
