Introduction Of Ms-Word
Microsoft word is a word processor developed by Microsoft company. it allow to create,
edit, format, save, print, delete and view multidirectional text document . it also allow to
create and edit personal and business document such as letters, reports, lab sheet,
invoices, email and books. it's has many version of Microsoft word such as ws-word
7,10,16,20, 21 etc . all are the same but some features of these are add .

Features
Font Formatting
Font formatting can be used to change the color, font, size and style of the specified text.
There are so many different types of fonts. For example:

To format font size:

 Select the text you want to modify.


 Left-click the drop-down arrow next to the font size box on the Home tab. The font
size drop-down menu appears.
 Move your cursor over the various font sizes. A live preview of the font size will appear
in the document.

 Left-click the font size you want to use. The font size will change in the document.

To format font style:

 Select the text you want to modify.


 Left-click the drop-down arrow next to the font style box on the Home tab. The font
style drop-down menu appears.
 Move your cursor over the various font styles. A live preview of the font will appear in
the document.

To format font color:

 Select the text you want to modify.


 Left-click the drop-down arrow next to the font color box on the Home tab. The font
color menu appears.
 Move your cursor over the various font colors. A live preview of the color will appear in
the document.

To use the Bold, Italic, and Underline commands:

 Select the text you want to modify.


 Click the Bold, Italic, or Underline command in the Font group on the Home tab.

To change the text case:

 Select the text you want to modify.


 Click the Change Case command in the Font group on the Home tab.
 Select one of the case options from the list.

Paragraph formatting

paragraph formatting is a change in the format of the text that affect an entire paragraph or
is different from other paragraph in a document. paragraph formatting function can be
used to such tasks: text alignment, line spacing, paragraph spacing and bullet pointing.

To change text alignment:

 Select the text you want to modify.


 Select one of the four alignment options from the Paragraph group on the Home tab.
o Align Text Left: Aligns all of the selected text to the left margin
o Center: Aligns text an equal distance from the left and right margins
o Align Text Right: Aligns all of the selected text to the right margin
o Justify: Aligns text equally to the right and left margins; used in many books,
newsletters, and newspapers

Line spacing
Line space is the amount of vertical space between lines of text in a paragraph. Line
spacing is typically based on the height of the characters, but you can change it to a
specific value. For example, some paragraphs may be single spaced and some double-
spaced. Single-spacing is word’s default setting.

Paragraph spacing
Paragraph space is the amount of space above or below a paragraph. Instead of
pressing enter multiple times to increase space between paragraphs, you can set a
specific amount of space before or after paragraphs.

Bullet pointing
bullet pointing is useful when listing things non- sequentially . they should also should be
reserved for longer lists. as shorts lists of up to three or four items can be included in the
main text.

Text box is an object you can add to your document that lets you put and type the text
