he decided to write personal letters for 2.000 his friends on Facebook because he disagrees with "Dunbar's number"
which limits the number of friends.

The author wanted to disprove Dunbar’s theory that a person could only have 150 meaningful social relationships.
He believed that since he had over two thousand friends on Facebook, he had already disproved the theory. He
decided to test this by writing to each of his Facebook friends. (slide gc)
Para:
Dunbar's idea that a person could only have 150 meaningful social interactions was something the author set out to
refute. He thought he had already disproved the hypothesis because he had more than 2000 Facebook friends. By
writing to each of his Facebook friends, he made the decision to test this.

Many of the people he contacted were surprised to hear from him; some of them did not know who
he was. One was deceased. It became clear that these were not meaningful relationships. (slide gc)

Many of the individuals he contacted were astonished to hear from him; some had no idea who he
was. One had died. It became evident that these were not significant partnerships.

Through experimentation, he realized that Facebook friends can still be large in number,
but all of them are not real friends. True friends are limited in number. (slide gc)

He discovered through experimentation that while a person's Facebook friends may still
number in the thousands, not all of them are actually close friends. There aren't many
true friends.
