1. PM releases 10th installment of financial benefit under PM-KISAN Scheme

● Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme is a centrally sector scheme, which
was launched in 2019.
● More than Rs 20 thousand crore have been transferred to over ten crore farmer
families.
● Under the PM-KISAN scheme, financial benefit of six thousand rupees per year is
provided to the eligible family of farmers.
● The fund is transferred directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.

2. IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launched semiconductor mission

● India Semiconductor Mission (ISM): specialized and independent business division


within Digital India Corporation.
● It has been set up with the aim to build a vibrant semiconductor and display
ecosystem to enable India's emergence as a global hub for electronics manufacturing
and design.
● It is notified by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

3. Intra-State Transmission System of Green Energy Corridor Phase-II

● Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the scheme on Green Energy
Corridor (GEC) Phase-II for Intra-State Transmission System (InSTS)
● It will add 10,750 circuit kilometres of transmission lines and 27,500 MVA
transformation capacity of substations
● It will facilitate grid integration and power evacuation of 20 GW of Renewable
Energy power projects in Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Rajasthan,
TN, UP
● Total estimated cost: Rs. 12,031.33 crores

4. Smart cities and Academia Towards Action & Research (SAAR) program

● Smart Cities Mission has launched the SAAR program.


● It is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, National Institute
of Urban Affairs and leading Indian academic institutions of the country.
● Under the program, 15 premier architecture & planning institutes of the country will
be working with Smart Cities to document landmark projects undertaken by Smart
Cities Mission.

5. Govt launches 6 brands developed as part of 'One District-One Product'

● Union Minister Pashupati Kumar Paras has launched six brands developed as part
of 'One District-One Product' approach under Pradhan Mantri Formalization of
Micro food processing Enterprises Scheme (PM-FMFPES) in New Delhi

● Six products: Amrit Phal, Cori Gold, Kashmiri Mantra, Madhumanthra, Somdana,
and Whole Wheat Cookies of Dilli Bakes.
● PM-FMFPES: centrally sponsored scheme to enhance the competitiveness of
existing individual micro-enterprises in unorganized segment

6. Union Education Minister launches NEAT 3.0 ed-tech solutions

● It will help more than 12 lakhs socially and economically disadvantaged students
have received free ed-tech course coupons worth over ₹253 crore
● National Educational Alliance for Technology (NEAT) is an initiative to provide the
use of best-developed technological solutions in the education sector to enhance the
employability of the youth on a single platform for learners' convenience.

7. UJALA scheme completes 7 years

● Power Ministry has successfully completed seven years of distributing and selling
LED lights under its flagship UJALA programme.
● It evolved into the world's largest zero-subsidy domestic lighting programme with
more than 36.78 crore LEDs distributed across the country.

8. Apple, Samsung to make smartphones worth Rs 37,000 crore under PLI


scheme

● Apple and Samsung are set to manufacture smartphones worth Rs 37,000 crore
($5 billion) in 2022 under the government's Production Linked Incentive scheme.
● It will exceed the target set by the government by over 50%.
● PLI gives companies incentives on incremental sales from products manufactured
in domestic units.

9. Govt notifies Certification Scheme for Unmanned Aircraft Systems

● Govt of India has notified ‘Certification Scheme for Unmanned Aircraft Systems
(UAS)’ to ensure minimum safety and quality requirements of drones.
● UAS commonly known as Drones.
● It will boost indigenous manufacturing of Drones and has been notified under Rule
7 of liberalized Drone Rules, 2021, which replaced Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)
2021.
● The Ministry of Civil Aviation had approved the PLI scheme for drones and drone
components with an allocation of Rs 120 crore.

10. Ministry of Power launches Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme


(RDSS)

● The Ministry of Power has launched Reforms-based and Results-linked, Revamped


Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).

● Aim: to improve the operational efficiencies and financial sustainability of State


owned DISCOMs/ Power Departments by providing financial assistance to DISCOMs
for modernization
● Outlay: Rs.3,03,758 crore
● Key interventions: providing support to DISCOMs to undertake activities for
ensuring 100% System metering, implementing Prepaid Smart Metering, Energy
Accounting, and implementing infrastructure works for Loss Reduction.

11. PM-YUVA Mentorship Scheme

● National Book Trust has announced the results of the all-India contest organized on
the theme ‘National Movement of India’ under PM-YUVA Mentorship Scheme.
● As per the Scheme, 75 Authors were to be selected for a Scholarship-cum-
Mentorship Scheme for young authors below the age of 30 years.

12. CBDT notifies e-Verification Scheme, 2021 with effect from Dec 2021

● CBDT has notified e-Verification Scheme, 2021 to verify the mismatch of the
information uploaded to the taxpayer’s registered account.
● It will be effective from 13 December 2021.
● Scheme will collect information under sections 133, 133B, 133C, will inspect
registers of companies under section 134
● As per the Scheme, where the mismatch between amount accepted and amount
persists, information after initial e-verification shall be run through risk management
strategy

13. Scheme for Residential Education for Students in High Schools in


Targeted Areas (SRESHTA)

● Government launched SRESHTA for socio economics upliftment and overall


development of Scheduled Castes students.
● It will enable bright SC students to have a better future by getting a high-quality
education.
● It will also aid in controlling dropout rates of SC students from class 9th to 12th.

14. Cabinet approves continues Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin


(PMAY-G) till March 2024

● Union Cabinet has approved proposal of Department of Rural Development for


continuation of Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) till March 2024
● Under this, financial assistance is to be provided for the construction of the
remaining 155.75 lakh houses within the total target of 2.95 crore houses.

15. Atmanirbhar Hastshilpkar Scheme

● Northeastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi) has announced


Atmanirbhar Hastshilpkar Scheme for the grass root Artisans of the region under
Ministry of Development of Northeast Region (DONER)

● Total of 17 artisans have been provided with credit assistance of Rs.1 lakh per
artisan
● Credit facility is collateral free and carries subsidized interest rate of 6% p.a., which
is repayable in 24 months

16. Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) for 2021-26

● Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved implementation of PMKSY for


2021-26 with total outlay of Rs.93,068 crore.
● Central support of Rs.37,454 crore to States and Rs.20,434.56 crore of debt
servicing for loan availed by Government for irrigation development will be provided.
● PMKSY was launched in 2015.
● It is an umbrella scheme, providing central grants to the State Governments for
specific activities detailed below.
