necessary to disassemble the phone to dry the liquid on the PCBA and front cover, and then perform the
inspection.
2. Some customers do not report liquid damage when sending their phone for repair. If the water logging
is found, the PCBA goes mouldy, or the water-proofing label turns red after the device is disassembled. In
this case, the engineer shall take photos at once to prevent dispute with the customer.
3. Before disassembling the phone, check that the phone has not been disassembled or maintained

6. Charging
Precautions:
1. Note: Charging time (h) = Battery capacity x 1.1/Charging current (mA)
2. For slow charging progress, check that the charger or USB cable the customer uses is the standard one
that comes with the phone. The charging progress may also be slow with a standard USB cable because of
excessive internal resistance.
3. For incomplete charging, it is necessary to charge the phone for a long time to check whether the
battery level can reach 100%. Perform a cross-check by using the test charger and USB cable, as well as the
charger and USB cable used by the customer.
4. If a phone is rooted, the charging current will be small so that the charging is slow. Inform risks and tell
the user to update the system first.
5. A 5 V/1 A (1.5A) charger is preferred for charging the phone. When the battery level is 0, the charging
current is about 450 mA. After charging for some time, the charging current can be over 1 A.
6. Sometimes the battery is protected, you need Re-fasted the battery, then start charging.

1. Check with the customer whether the GPS failure only occurs recently. If yes, update the navigation app
and system to the latest version.
2. Network connection is required by GPS if there is no offline map on the phone. Thus, check with the
customer whether the network is normal (Wi-Fi or mobile data).
3. If the signal strength is not displayed, use a third-party app to view the signal.

12. SIM/SD Card
Precautions:
1. Check whether the SIM card used by the customer is cut to size and whether the SIM card chip has
damages. If yes, recommend the customer to use a standard SIM card.
2. A faulty microSD card can also lead to microSD card detection failure, so it is necessary to check
whether the microSD card used by the customer works normally.
3. The customer may insert an incompatible card tray or a SIM card directly into the card holder and ask us
to take out the card or card tray. In this case, tell the customer that there are risks of damaging the card
holder or PCBA and the customer shall bear all risks, to prevent dispute.
