Brian Hampton Gossip

Brian Hampton’s play Gossip new girl at school named Gossip.
Tim which is her first-day partner

introduces her to East View High. While taking her around the school and making sure she wouldn’t get
lost looking for her classes, they later on meet Tim’s girlfriend Dallas, after talking for a brief moment,
Gossip locks eyes with her, Dallas automatically suspected something wrong with her. Dallas
disregarded her first impression thoughts and later on takes Tim with her. The Twins, Cangy and Kaine,
also witnessed it and soon walks up to gossip to introduce themselves and later on introduces Andy,
which is Tim’s best friend. Later that day, Dallas walks up to Gossip to invite her to a party that the twins
will throw, she accepts the offer and tells her she would come. They got talking for sometime and starts
talking about the twins and their impressions on them, they talked about how people found it annoying
that they talk at the same time, which is the complete opposite of what the two of them thinks about
the twins.
Dallas plans on auditioning for the role Julie in their school’s theater play, she also pursues Gossip to
also audition for the role. After a few weeks, Gossip started to become annoying and overbearing. Dallas
couldn’t take it anymore and starts screaming at Gossip to leave her alone. Dallas felt bad about what
she did and apologizes to Gossip for having to shout at her. They later on start to hear each other out for
what they feel and starts exchanging sweaters. Gossip starts feeling a sense of victory as she finally got
what she wanted, forcing Dallas to slap her in the hand. She is not the type of person that lets a person
apologize after slapping her hand, for her after slapping her hand, she slaps you back in the face.
Gossip later on walks up to the twins and started twisting every word that Dallas has said. She tells the
twins that Dallas thinks that the two together were very annoying, she adds up another lie that Dallas
already got the role of Julie that twins and her were planning to audition for. Now holding the hands of
manipulation, she successfully fools the twins into believing her.
Dallas starts feeling sick and is slowly falling apart with herself and her boyfriend. Gossip saw and took
the chance to talk to Tim, she starts lying to him about Dallas being conflicted about their relationship.
She then tells him one more lie about her being in love with someone else, and that person is Andy.
Andy and Tim’s friendship also starts falling apart.
Dallas got confused after noticing the twins are ignoring her. After Gossip gained the twin’s trust, she
later got the lead role Julie in the school’s theater play. Everybody starts rooting for her after the
audition, even Tim.
Tim still being in clash with his complicated relationship with Dallas, he finally comes to a conclusion that
they’re both through. He never got a chance to tell her, because Dallas never came back. Gossip Later on
confesses her feelings towards Tim and it turns out, all the gaslighting and manipulation worked.
A few months has passed, Kaine and Gossip starts talking about college. Kaine tells her that she’s
thinking about going to a different college without Cangy, because of what she thinks Dallas said about
them. She later on passes what Kaine said to Cangy which maimed her. Absorbing the power she holds,
she started passing things separately to the twins leading the both of them to slowly fall apart.
The school’s Spring Musical is coming up, and Gossip is still the same. She starts underestimating Kaine
about not being able to Belt an E. She later on talks to Cangy for information that would help to bring
down Kaine. After talking to Cangy, she comes back to Kaine to twist Cangy’s words and tells her, she
heard her in the shower singing and she cracked, and that Cangy thinks she’s funnier than she is a
singer. The twins are now apart.
Now Gossip is officially in control of the whole school, with the amount of manipulation she has done,
everybody is at the tip of her hands.
Tim started to realize what was happening in the school. He walks up to ask Gossip where she heard the
rumor, she told him about. Gossip answers him with more lies and walked away. He then finally got the
answer to his questions, he finally realized that the power has been built beyond her own self-
awareness, she became another person, she became Dallas.
Tim tries to call Dallas but no one would answer, a person comes up to him and tells him that she’s in
the hospital, he was humiliated. He then rushed to the hospital, after that he goes up to Andy and tells
him that he started it, and he will be the one to end.
He starts to investigate every lie, trying to get back to whom and where it started, and it all lead back to
Gossip. Tim comes up to Gossip to tell her that she has to stop with all the lies, with all the
manipulation, and with their relationship.
People stopped believing Gossip. She was scared and confused with what to do, she became desperate
to bring back the power she used to have. Everybody started to stand up from her, they stopped
listening, they started to ignore her. She was all alone by herself, she was depressed, she’s like a
nobody.
Students were then called into a special assembly by the principal just to be presented a very
unexpected announcement, about death, Gossip has died.
Andy decides to visit the funeral service for Gossip, but there was none for Gossip, is she really dead?
