ABOUT HMA
HAL Management Academy (HMA) situated in Bengaluru

is the nodal Learning and Development centre of
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, a premier Aeronautical
company of the country. HMA has been contributing in
the field of Aerospace Technology and Management and
plays a key role in shaping the upcoming generation of
Engineers and Technocrats. HMA is equipped with state-
of-the-art classrooms and computer labs. In addition, the
campus houses hostel accommodation, 800 seat
auditorium, sports block with indoor & outdoor games
facilities, gymnasium, swimming pool etc. HMA provides
different learning opportunities for Executives,
Professionals, Students, and Trainees.
ABOUT PGDM
With the strong foundation and experience in shaping the
managers and leaders of HAL for the past 52 years. The
PGDM program is designed to bridge the gap between
academia and industry. The classes are redefined by the
unique outlook of industry experts. The course is
embedded with industry visits to manufacturing facilities,
hangars, test centers, and a series of certifications from
prestigious institutions like NITIE, IIM, and IIT.
SAADHANA
A two-day Annual Corporate Conclave for industry professionals,
business schools and under - graduates with the goal of fostering core
management competencies, spotting potential and providing
networking opportunities. SAADHANA will be conducted on the 20th
and 21st of January 2023. The conclave will include a variety of activities
that will enable students and working managers from a range of
professions to showcase their accomplishments in front of experts in the
relevant industries. Additionally, it will serve as a forum for networking
and idea sharing.
The three main events that make up SAADHANA are :
honors the exceptional contributions of practitioners in various industry domains and

provide a platform for their ideas to be shared. Nominations are invited from
professionals with exceptional achievements / contributions in the following categories:
• Aerospace & Aviation, Supply Chain Management & Operations Management
• HR, Finance, Marketing & IT
• Academic / Research Excellence
is a platform for distinguished business leaders to share insights and discuss the recent
developments and trends in the industry through a series of panel discussions on:
• Evolving role of Managers
• Make in India: Aerospace and Defence manufacturing
• Supply chain: Sustainability and growth
Facilitates students with a chance to demonstrate their analytical, technological,

management and communication skills to industry experts through a variety of
competitions.
SAADHAK AWARDS - ACADEMICS / RESEARCH
EXCELLENCE
The Awards for Academic Excellence would honor the exceptional contributions of
academicians and researchers with exceptional achievements / contributions / research, the
best of whom will be conferred SAADHAK AWARD.

Industry Analysis
Opportunity for students to research, analyse and present the current position of an
industry as per the Indian market scenario.
Presentation on any one of the following industries/sectors to be

made by a team:
• Aerospace/ Aviation Sector • FMCG Sector

• Agriculture Sector • Healthcare Sector
• Automobiles Sector • IT Sector
• Banking Sector • Infrastructure Sector
• Education Sector • Tourism Sector
• Energy/Power • Transport Sector
• E-commerce Sector • Telecom Sector
Presentations should cover:
• A brief overview of the industry sector.

• Current size, composition and economic condition of the sector.
• Various Strategies adopted by firms in order to overcome challenging situations
such as Covid 19, recessions, etc.
• The forecast of the industry including role of the government.
• The way forward for the sector.
Evaluation Criteria:
Knowledge & Content (20 Marks)

Team Coordination & Presentation Skills (10 Marks)
Time Management (10 Marks)
Q&A (10 Marks)
Participation rules:
The time allotted for the presentation is 15 minutes - 12 minutes for presentation and
3 minutes for Q&A.
Team of minimum 2 and maximum 4 Participants.

Pitch your Project
A platform where students can present their research papers or projects to industry
experts.
1) Any field of interest can be represented in the project themes (Technical / Business
Management)
2) Project work, research papers and articles are encouraged.

Time Management (10 Marks)
Q&A (10 Marks)
Participation rules:
The time allotted for the presentation is 15 minutes - 10 minutes for presentation and
5 minutes for Q&A
Individual or a Team of minimum 2 and maximum 4 Participants.
General Rules and
Regulations:
All participants should:
Carry their college ID cards

• Report one hour before the scheduled starting time for the event
• Participants in management events should bring their own laptops, pen
drives, dongles, etc.
• Be dressed in their college formals
• Form teams only by students from the same college.
Please note :
• Bringing, carrying and using sharp objects, inflammables, alcoholic
substances, narcotics, cigarettes and any other potentially objectionable
items is strictly prohibited.
• Organizers may change the programs and/or their schedules, where
necessitated.
• Decisions of the judges/event coordinators will be final and no further
queries will be entertained.
• Violation of rules and misbehaviour or misconduct will lead to immediate
disqualification and expulsion from the event and campus.
