BI-METAL M51

MACH 12 band saw blades have a 10% cobalt M51 tool steel cutting edge with a (69-70 RC) hardness that provides excellent heat and abrasion resistance with a high chrome tempered steel backing for maximum tool life. The aggressive 12 degree positive rake varied pitch tooth design penetrates hard materials providing faster cutting rates. MACH 12 is an excellent choice for cost effective production cutting of solid or heavy walled exotic materials that have work hardening or abrasive characteristics such as; Inconel, hasteloy, titanium, nickel alloys, chrome-moly, stainless steels and tool & die steels.

EXCEL BI-METAL M42
EXCELTM bi-metal band saw blades feature a high tooth hardness (67-69 RC) with an 8% cobalt M42 tool steel cutting edge. They are available in Broach, Posi and Hook tooth styles. The Broach tooth has a less aggressive zero degree rake angle that resists tooth strippage especially on smaller cross sections while retaining the high hardness and superior abrasion resistance needed for cutting high alloy, heat treated, or stainless steels. The Posi and Hook tooth styles combine the high hardness and superior abrasion resistance qualities with an aggressive rake angle and a strong back angle to provide faster cuts on solid work pieces where tooth strippage is not a common occurrence.

KERF PLUS BI-METAL M42

KERF PLUS is a high hardness M42 blade for cutting structural materials that tend to close into the cut. The wider kerf also helps prevent blade damage due to binding while cutting stacked or bundled structural beams and tubing. Recommended for use by production cutting houses and steel fabricators.

The new tooth design of this high hardness M-42 blade is ideally suited for cutting larger structural shapes such as I-beam, angle and thick wall tubing. A modified progressive close tolerance set pattern provides smoother finishes than a standard raker set. The tooth profile delivers aggressive cutting performance while resisting tooth strippage.

NEW WAVE band saw blades are specifically tailored for maintenance department saws, fabricators of lighter structurals, round and square tubing and other applications that can prove troublesome to saw blade users everywhere. The unique, group tooth set, combined with the Broach tooth design, delivers smoother cuts with less noise and vibration. Because teeth are group set in varying degrees, each tooth protects adjacent teeth from taking too much stress load. This helps prevent tooth loss due to chipping and eventual strippage. NEW WAVE blades feature an 8% cobalt edge with 66-68 Rc tooth hardness. For use on horizontal or vertical band saw machines.

Tri-Temp blades are manufactured from high carbon alloy steel. Through a special heat treating process, a spring tempered hardness is given to the back of the blade. This quality allows the blade to be given more tension for added rigidity, resulting in straighter cuts and accuracy in contour cutting. Its greater tensile strength allows heavier feeds and provides longer blade life for production cutting. Tri-Temp is not recommended to be run at speeds over 4,000 feet per minute. For added versatility and performance, we recommend the original varied pitch Broach and Posi Tooth blades.

A hard edge, flexible back blade for horizontal cut-off machines, and contour and straight cutting on vertical band saw machines. Its economical cost makes it a good choice for cutting easy to machine metals, wood, plastics and other materials that do not require high production blades. Carbon is a light duty production blade that is well suited for machines with small wheel diameters.

FRICTION
FOR FRICTION CUTTING ONLY
A special silicon carbon steel with good abrasion resistance and fatigue life is used for the manufacture of friction cutting blades. Friction cutting is accomplished by running the band saw blade at high speed (8,000-15,000 S.F.P.M.). The high frictional heat created allows the blade to burn or melt away the material and the saw teeth remove the molten metal from the work piece. Very thin or odd-shaped metals may be successfully cut by friction sawing when conventional methods fail.

Widely used by the woodworking industries, especially furniture manufacturers. Also used on aluminum, magnesium, brass, etc. X-tra Duty .032 is manufactured with a Hook tooth design and is available in 1/4, 3/8" and 1/2 widths. Not recommended for machines that take a 15 band or less.

KNIFE EDGE
Spring tempered carbon steel Knife Edge bands are produced for cutting soft and fibrous materials that would fray or tear if cut with a conventional tooth type band. The Knife Edge produces little downward drag so there is no tearing during the cut, producing an excellent finish. These blades are run at speeds of 2000 - 8000 sfpm depending on the material being cut. Sterling Knife Edge blades are double beveled and available in several styles for a variety of applications. CIRCULAR SAW BLADES

All Sterling circular tungsten carbide tipped saw blades have a micro grain cobalt binder with a small amount of titanium for added cutting life. They are ground to very exact tolerances for optimum performance and tool life. All blades are resharpenable.

FERROUS AND NONFERROUS BLADES

Ferrous and nonferrous metal cutting blades cut with fewer burrs and less heat than abrasive blades, there is no need for secondary finish grinding. The modified triple chip grind resists material build up on the tooth allowing for longer life between resharpenings.

Sterling PVC/ABS Plastic Pipe Blades are of one-piece spring tempered carbon construction. The cutting edge is hardened to 63-66 RC for good wear resistance. The spring tempered back resists flexing while cutting on both the push and pull strokes. Cuts plastic, wood, drywall, PVC and ABS pipe. The heavy duty aluminum handle is easy to assemble with a single screw blade attachment. Available with or without handle.

Blue Diamond hole saws are manufactured of a tough bi-metal matrix steel with 40/50 blended diamond grit nickel matrix braze bonded to their edge. With a cutting depth of 1-1/2, these hole saws are normally used for cutting a variety of abrasive nonferrous materials.
