Aarong is a chain of Bangladeshi department stores specializing in Bengali ethnic wear and handicrafts.

It
is owned by the non-profit development agency BRAC, and employs thousands of rural artisans across
the country.

The goal of Aarong is to empower people and communities in situations of poverty, illiteracy, disease
and social injustice.

Aarong always try to help unprivileged people of all around bangladesh through their work and also
bring up the local culture and tradition of rural area of Bangladesh to all over the world.

Target customers are the focusing group of customers for whom products are produced. As the price of
Aarong‟s products is comparatively high, all classes of people of our society cannot effort the products
of Aarong. So the target customers of Aarong are

 Middle and higher socio-economic classes


 Expatriates
 Foreign visitors (Tourists and Business Travelers)
 Bangladeshis living abroad

For bringing up local culture in front of people the authorities of aarong go on such rural area and search
what are the tradition or local culture of those Area’s. For an example, Aarong has huge collection of
Nakshi katha which shows up village culture and a large amount of people buy it .basically Nakshi Kathas
are made throughout Bangladesh,but the greater Mymensingh,Jamalpur,Bogra,rajshahi,Faridpur,Jessore
areas are most famous for this craft. So when they go to those places for finding workers they faces kind
of problem like at first they don’t want to work as they do not know about this organization much.So
authorities have to understand those unprivileged people what the profit they got to work with Arong
and what the main purpose of this organization.

Behind a Big fat organization there is always have to be a strong team.As aarong is a big organization
and have so many sections so for running smoothly so many people working behind this.And most
importently mainly the capital of aarong is those unprivileged prople from rual area they work as a
team to cover any project.

As aarong has huge amount of customer all over the Bangladesh so they target some occassion Like
Falgun,21st February,Eid,Puja for selling their product.In those occation day bring new and different
design collecton so that people are buying product from them.Also they give large amount of sale on
their product on a specific time of the year so that people from lower income can buy their desired
product.For an example they give year ending sale from 20% to 50% on every product.
