Welcome to the ISO 9001:2015 QMS Lead Auditor Training Course

The instructors and BSCIC staff welcome you to this class. We aim to provide the best
and most authoritative training available on an ISO 9001:2015 based Quality
Management System.

We believe that you get the most out of the course by fully joining in the discussions
and exercises. Participation brings better understanding and provides a good
foundation on which to further develop your expertise. It also makes the course fun.
We invite you to join in!

Schedule
Please return to class on time after breaks or lunch.

Personal Property
Please do not leave valuables unattended. Keep them with you or make other
arrangements for their safe custody.

Facilities
The instructor will inform you of the nearest restrooms and the location of public
telephones for use during class breaks.

Recording
Please do not use recording devices since they tend to restrict free discussions.

Safety
Please familiarize yourself with any safety notices and the actions to be taken in the
case of fire including the position of fire exits in the lecture and other rooms that you
may occupy whilst at the course venue.

Smoking
Please do not smoke in the lecture or other rooms used for course work.

Mobile phones, pagers and laptops


Please do not have pagers, mobile phones switched and laptops on during
class sessions.

To learn about the subject of auditing of quality management system, specifically


Course Objective those based on ISO 9000 families of international standards. The course is also aimed
at provide practical training on auditing skills for Quality Management Systems.
Knowledge:
 Describe the purpose of a quality management system, of quality
management system standards, of management system audit, of third-party
certification and the business benefits of improved performance of the quality
management system.
 Explain the role and responsibility of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and
follow up a quality management system audit in accordance with ISO 19011,

and ISO/IEC 17021-1, as applicable.

Skills:
 Plan, conduct, report and follow up an audit of a quality management system
to establish conformity (or otherwise) with ISO 9001 and in accordance with
ISO 19011, and ISO/IEC 17021-1, as applicable.

Course starts at 8:30 A.M. and ends at 6:00 P.M. The course includes a series of
Course Structure presentations, Examples, Exercises involving group activities, Brain Storming,
Readings and Sharing of Practical Experiences followed by 45 minutes Lunch Break.
