Assignment 01
NB: If you do not submit Assignment 01, you will forfeit the marks for the
assignment. There will be no other submission opportunities. Note that only the
instructions for this assignment are given here since the assignment questions will
be randomised per student when they are completed online. You must look for the
date on which the Assignment 01 submission system opens on myUnisa (two
weeks before the due date) and then complete the multiple-choice questions online.

This multiple-choice-question assignment will count towards your final mark. The purpose
of the assignment is to familiarise you with the content of the study guide for CSP2601 –
do not consult other sources since all the answers are in the study guide. You should work
independently (in other words, you should work on your own; do not compare your
answers with those of members of a study group or request assistance from a lecturer).
This assignment consists of 25 questions. Each question counts two marks. Complete the
assignment on myUnisa. Make sure the assignment is finalised and submitted on
myUnisa before the submission date since it will be marked by computer. No late
submissions are possible under any circumstances. Once the system has closed after the
due date for online submissions via myUnisa, you will not be able to submit your

assignment. Also note that the assignment cannot be resubmitted to improve your mark.
There is only one opportunity for the completion of the assignment online.

Ayanda is an 11-year-old boy who lives with his parents and two siblings. His
parents work long hours away from home to provide for their three children.
Nevertheless, they do their utmost to make time for all the children. They check
how the children are doing with their schoolwork daily. Ayanda’s aunt and uncle
live close by and they make sure that they know where the children are at all times
and actively monitor their homework. His parents also communicate often with
their teachers at school.
Ayanda and his siblings are fortunate that they attend a good suburban primary
school that offers dependable aftercare assistance. The teachers and school
management are very dedicated to their work and the children and community
they serve.

She asks Sally to go for a drive in her car so that they can chat. She drops Sally
off at the school counsellor down the road instead. The counsellor agrees to do an
assessment of Sally to set counselling goals so that they can meet weekly during
school hours for the next six weeks. Mrs Smith says that she will bring Sally to the
sessions every week.
