Water Crisis

Water plays a vital role in every human life and even micrograms need water to survive. About 70% of
Earth's surface is made of water and more than 60% of the human body is also made up of water. It is one
of the most important substances that are needed for plants, animals, and humans. Life without water is
impossible to work, so we must learn to value the importance of water because If there was no water there
would be no life on earth. The density of seawater plays a vital role to the earth system and many marine
life forms are able to survive the winter because of water density. If ice were denser than water, it would
freeze and fall repeatedly until the lake was completely frozen. Solid water is very important to aquatic
organisms because it supports many lives and provides insulation for the organisms below.

Water is known as " Universal Solvent" because it has the capacity to dissolve substances. Water as a
solvent action has many benefits however it is one of the reasons why water is easily polluted and why
water is inadequate. Toxic substances and chemical components from factories, towns, farms, and other
facilities can easily mix into water and those substances and chemicals can be dissolved into the water
that can cause water contamination and water pollution. Farmers' use of pesticides and other fertilizers
can pollute groundwater and underground aquifers, resulting in water pollution.

Climate change may also be a factor in water scarcity. Globally, rising temperatures have increased water
evaporation, resulting in more intermittent rainfall. This rain disrupts crop cycles, resulting in flooding in
some seasons and extreme drought in others. Floods can cause severe erosion, rendering water bodies
unsafe to drink and damaging crops. Contaminated water has many bad effects and it can cause diseases
like Polio, Cholera, and others.

Water is an essential resource for all life on Earth. If a water source becomes contaminated due to
pollution, it can lead to water shortage. For me, human activity is the main cause of water scarcity.
Irresponsibility and undisciplined actions are the main causes of it. Plants, animals, humans, and other
species need water that is moderately pure and clean, water with toxic chemicals is very harmful and has
many bad effects. As a responsible species on Earth, we humans must recognize the value of clean water
and effectively maintain it in order to ensure a proper supply for the second generation.
