3. Generalization
- Summarize the topic.
- Narcolepsy is a neurological condition characterized by abnormal sleep patterns,
such as excessive, uncontrolled daytime sleepiness. There are two types of this
condition: narcolepsy with and without cataplexy. Type 1 is the most common and
includes the symptom of cataplexy, or the sudden loss of muscle tone. On the other
hand, type 2 does not manifest cataplexy and has normal levels of hypocretin.
Common symptoms of narcolepsy include cataplexy, hallucinations, excessive
daytime sleepiness, sleep paralysis, and sleep disruption. Narcolepsy may have
challenging implications for a person's daily activities and overall quality of life.
V. EVALUATION
In order to assess the learners’ understanding of the lesson, the following procedures
will be carried out:
1. Integrate questioning during the entire duration of the discussion.
2. Provide a 5-item post-test to gauge their comprehension and recollection of the
topic.
VI. ASSIGNMENT
- Use any editing software tools to design an infographic about narcolepsy. Be sure
to include the important concepts discussed. Make it comprehensive and be
creative.
