Greetings in the name of service!

Similarly, to the school and nation, the PSYSC aims to encourage students to continuously
foster their scientific talents. The organization, then yearns to participate in this years
National Science Club Month (NSCM), featuring a school-based event to attain this common
mission of ours.

With this in mind, the PSYSC proposes to participate in the National Science Club Month
(NSCM) as a response to the Presidential Proclamation No. 264,s.2002. Surrounding the
theme GENESCAPE: Priming Perspective, Amplifying Advancements”, the celebration will be
centered on activities and school-based competitions which include quiz bees (Science,
Technology, and Spelling), poster-making (digital and traditional), essay writing (Filipino and
English), face-mask painting, impromptu speeches, and filmmaking. The event is open to all
Bonafide students of Juan G. Macaraeg National High School for the School Year 2022-2023.
Meanwhile, the annual event aims to highlight both the resilience of science clubbing in the
country and the importance of progressing scientific knowledge in genetics.

Title of Activity: NATIONAL SCIENCE CLUB MONTH (NSCM) 2022

I. RATIONALE
The National Science Club Month (NSCM) is a mandate emanating from a
Presidential Decree 1895 series of 1979 later reinstated in PD25 series of 1987
which annually assigns the month of September to accentuate the ingenuity of
science clubbing and advancements, through a myriad of activities that
encourages the Filipino youth to involve themselves in artistic and intellectual
development regarding scientific concepts. This year’s event is centered around
the theme “GENESCAPE: Priming Perspective, Amplifying Advancements.”

With this, the Philippine Society of Youth Clubs (PSYSC), along with the
Millennium Achievers Science Club (MASC YES-O) plans to promote NSCM
through a school-based celebration. Through a variety of activities, events, and
competitions related to the annual celebration of science month, the clubs will
highlight the student’s intellectual and artistic abilities and shall further ampify
these. This celebration also aims to further encourage the students to
continuously ignite the spirit of science clubbing in the nation.

To prevent interfering with the student’s classes, and pursuant to DepEd Order
No. 34 s. 2022, section 32-37 it is almost certain that most activities like science
month activities will still be held before the quarter examinations or 11th week
each quarter to avoid disruption of classes.
II. DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY
The activity aims to value the students’ abilities and potential regarding scientific
concepts circling the theme GENESCAPE: Priming Perspective, Amplifying
Advancements”. The activity aims to recognize September as the National
Science Club Month.

III. OBJECTIVES

- This activity aims to:


1. Celebrate September as the National Science Club Month under Presidential
Proclamation No. 264, s.2002.
2. Showcase the students’ intellectual and artistic abilities in science-related concepts
through various competitons and activities
3. Amplify and highlight the advancements humanity has discovered in genetics, and
foster a thorough grasp of current events, and provide opportunity to improve
competent Science skills.
