−Imposes no extra load on the system
Simulcast on every channel
−SD-only MediaPorts include 2 identical outputs
−HD-capable MediaPorts include 2 independently-configurable outputs

Each module is independent

−Within a module, each channel is independent, except that they
share the module’s reference source
Different model modules can be mixed in a chassis
Modules are hot-pluggable
−Removal or installation does not affect other module in chassis

Hot-pluggable power supplies

−Single supply can power both modules indefinitely
−Removal or installation of supply does not affect on-air operation
Hot-pluggable independent modules
−Failure of a module affects at most 2 channels
−Removal or installation of module does not affect other module
Module can be added to empty slot at any time
−4 channels per RU with 2-channel granularity
Front panel display shows module status at a glance
−Very useful during installation “debugging”
Bezel with display can be replaced without removing entire unit
−Slide unit forward 5cm, remove 2 screws, unplug/replace bezel

MIP-7000s take 8 mins or more to boot up when firmware

has to load
Use the monitor window to watch the boot progress
Important : If firmware is loading and you power cycle or
try reboot the unit again, you will corrupt the code and the
MediaPort won’t work. Need to RMA the unit
