VALENTINES
Collar for the girl
Using the front loops of round 23, attach the color of the clothes for the girl, in the back of the neck.
Holding the head to the front, make: (2 sc, inc) x 4 (16), close with a ss in the back. Finish off.

Bottom for the skirt for boy and girl.

Continue in the front loops of round 33, using the yarn for the clothes.

For the girl:

Rnd 1: ch 3, (2 dc, inc using dc in the next stitch), repeat until the end of the round. Close with a ss.
Rnd 2: (5 dc, inc using dc in the next stitch), repeat until the end of the round. Close with a ss.
Rnd 3: finishing edge: [(1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) in the next stitch, 1 dc in the next stitch], repeat until the end of
the round. You should see just a bit of the panties, nothing more. If you want it to be longer, add another
round of sc after round 2.

For the boy:

Attach yarn for the clothes, to the back in round 33, using the front loops of that round. Hold the piece,
with the head forward and make 2 rounds of sc. Finish off with a ss and cut the thread. Finish off the
thread.

For the girl:
Attach white yarn for the panties in the front loops of the last round. Make (1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) in the next
stitch, repeat until the end of the round. Finish off.

For the boy:

Attach the yarn of the clothes in the front loops of the last round. Hold the front of the shoe from you.

Rnd 2 – 3: 13 sc
End with a ss and finish off.

I did not stuff the leg, but inserted a wire so they would be able to stand. This wire is inserted in the lower
part of the body and in the foot.
Sew the legs to the body.

Rnd 3 – 5: 12 sc (12)
Rnd 6: 4 dc together in the first st, 11 sc (12)
Rnd 7: (2 sc, dec) x 3 (9)
Stuff the hand, but not too tight.
Rnd 8: dec, 3 sc, dec, 2 sc (7)

Continue

For the girl:

Rnd 9 – 18: 7 sc
Finish off; leave a long tail for sewing to the body

For the boy:

Rnd 9 – 15: 7 sc
Change to the color for the clothes
Rnd 16 – 18: 7 sc
Finish off; leave a long tail for sewing to the body.

I put wire in the arms, but you can also do them without it.

I pushed some wire through the body, at the point where the arms should be. I bent the ends in to avoid
them sticking out the hands. Afterwards slide the arms over the wire and sew them in place.

Nose
VALENTINES
Use skin color yarn

Ch 2
Rnd 1: 6 sc in the first chain
Rnd 2: (1 sc, inc) x 3 (9)

Finish off, but leave a long tail for sewing to the head.

Ears
I did not make ears for the girl, as they cannot be seen underneath all that hair.

Mark the position of the ears on the boy (and if you want to on the girl). Attach a thread of skin color into
the stitch of the ear. Make 6 sc in the stitch and finish off.

Make the face using the photos as a reference. I cut out some white circles of felt and glued them to the
face. I glued them next to each other. You can glue them differently, but it will alter the expression of the
doll. Glue the beads to the felt.

Embroider a mouth and eyebrows. You can use some fake eyelashes for the girl.

Use some rouge to make the cheeks.

Attach the yarn you want for the hair in a technique that suits you best. I had such fluffy yarn, that I did not
need to pull a thread through every stitch, but every 2nd or 3rd stitch.

Hearts
VALENTINES
Use red yarn. We make the hearts in 2 parts, cut of the thread after the first one and finish off.

Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)
Rnd 3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
Rnd 4- 5: 18 sc (18)

Cut the thread on the first one, make a second one and continue. Connect the 2 parts by making 2 sc
through both parts, holding them together. Then continue:
Rnd 6: 16 sc in the 1st part, 16 sc in the 2nd part. (32)

Continue crocheting in the round.

Rnd 7: (3 sc, dec, 4 sc, dec, 3 sc, dec) x 2 (26)

Rnd 8: 26 sc (26)
Rnd 9: (2 sc, dec, 3 sc, dec, 2 sc, dec) x 2 (20)
Rnd 10:20 sc (20)

Start stuffing.

Rnd 11: (3 sc, dec) x 4 (16)

Rnd 12: 16 sc
Rnd 13: (2 sc, dec) x 4 (12)
Rnd 14: (1 sc, dec) x 4 (8)
Rnd 15: 4 dec (4)

Close the gap and finish off.

I have attached my hearts at their hands.

Our valentines are ready! Enjoy.
