Honda motor cars can be identified from the following numbers
 
  Location
Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) - Stamped onto the engine splash plate
  - On the type plate
  - Additionally, on some models, behind the windscreen
 
It is not possible to derive the vehicle identification number on Honda vehicles from the engine or gearbox number, but it
is possible to identify a range of possible VIN numbers through the engine number.

1.  Vehicle Identification Number (VIN):


1.1  Location of the vehicle identification number (VIN)

 
Normally stamped onto the engine splash plate. On some models there is an additional number behind the
windscreen (visible VIN)

   
On the driver's side on the left, behind the windscreen

These become the same blow figures like with of the engine number uses, however, are the single letters and Figures
uniform 8.0 mms high and 4.8 mms wide.
The least impact depth lies with 0.2 mms.
The FIN is limited on the left and on the right with the mark x

With the Visiblen FIN becomes the font Gothic German Institute for Standardization 30640 uses.
The single letters and figures are uniform 5 mms high and 4 mms wide.

The gear number is evident on a plastic adhesive who is right in the side of the gear case in immediate nearness of the
engine number.
