    Find out the best beaches in
    Rethymno! Some of which you might
    not even heard of!

    1. PREVELI BEACH (OR
    FINIKAS)
    Preveli has taken its name from the
    monastery located 2 km away and it is
    one of the highlights of Crete! The walk
    down to the beach is not that easy (not
    that difficult either) however it offers
    amazing views of the Libyan sea. The
    beach itself is something else. Lovely
    waters and earie rocks, and a
    scenic palm forest should convince you
    this is the best beach in Rethymno!

    2. KALYPSO BEACH
    Kalipso is probably nothing like any
    other beach you have experienced in
    Crete. It is not your traditional beach as
    it has no sand, but sand is overrated!
    Kalipso is a beach resort build on steep
    rocks with marvelous green/blue waters
    that are perfect for scuba diving. Truly a
    unique experience not to be missed!

    3. KLISIDI BEACH
    Klisisdi beach is located on the southern
    part of Rethymno and resembles Seitan
    Limania in Chania. It is a private beach
    with turquoise waters that in contrast
    with Seitan Limania is not as busy. It is
    occupied sometimes by nudists, just to
    give you a heads up!

    4. BALI BEACH
    Bali doesn’t have a single beach, it has
    four different ones. Livadi, Karavostasi,
    Bali and Varkotopos beach. However
    they have included as one as they are of
    very similar quality, clean, organised
    with umbrellas and sunbeds and
    facilities. Bali also offers plenty of waters
    sport activities to suit all!

    5. AMMOUDI BEACH
    Ammoudi is another beach located on
    the south of Crete between Plakias and
    Preveli. It is a popular beach however
    thankfully not too popular that combines
    a leangthy beach and lovely green/blue
    waters. It is organised with umbrellas
    and sunbeds and there is taverna close
    by, but that is all the facilities you should
    expect!
