Chief Marketing Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Chief Marketing Officer to join us to drive and execute the marketing
strategy globally. The right candidate for this role will be data-driven as well as being a creative thinker. The
Chief Marketing Officer will plan and implement all marketing and product development programs, both short
and long-term, targeted toward existing and new markets. 

The Role:
 Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy and execute a sophisticated marketing plan, while
effectively managing brand and reputational risk, to ensure the internal and external brand is
optimally aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives
 Ensure the firm has a coherent and consistent branding strategy while recognizing and addressing the
needs of specific business units and understanding the audiences of those business units
 Develops and recommends product positioning, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible
long-term market share
 Ensures effective control of marketing results, and ensures the initiatives come in on time and budget
 Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and
competitive conditions
 Working with the marketing team to develop marketing campaigns, plans and strategies to ensure we
always have a competitive edge in the market.
 Has a strong understand of the AI/tech industry and is able to identify new growth areas, and
emerging service opportunities
 Always up to date on market competitiveness. (product and technology)
 Is a thought leader in Tech Marketing. Always at the front of the curve.
 Overseas preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to the board.
 Will establish and maintain a consistent tone of voice and image of the company in the market.
 Manage the marketing team, encourage growth and development, plan training and create success.
 Works closely with the Sales and other departments within the organization to create cohesive GTM
strategies that create success.

Responsibilities:
 Develop compelling value propositions that drive distinct competitive advantages for selling new and
existing products as well as expanding utilization within the existing client base
 Provide ongoing tracking, measurement, KPI, and ROI analysis for the team’s marketing initiatives and
campaigns to provide clear, actionable insights that inform and inspire communication for strategic
calendar and brand initiatives
 “Listen” to the trends of the market and direct the market research efforts of the company
 Liaise with other departments to guide a unified approach to customer service, distribution etc. that
meets market demands
 Define marketing strategies to support the company’s overall strategies and objectives
 Develop a feasible marketing plan for the department and oversee its day-to-day implementation
 Plan and organize marketing functions and operations (product development, branding,
communications etc.), and ensure they project the company’s unique “voice”
 Design and coordinate promotional campaigns, PR and other marketing efforts across channels
(digital, press etc.)
 Build a highly efficient team of marketing professionals
 Create a solid network of strategic partnerships
The Requirements:
 Minimum of 5 years as chief marketing officer or similar role
 10+ years of progressive experience in planning, managing, and executing multi-channel, multi-
segment marketing campaigns
 BSc/BA in business administration, marketing, communications or relevant field; MA will be a plus
 Demonstrable experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing
aspects (branding, product promotion etc.)
 Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods
 Ability to apply marketing techniques over digital (e.g. social media) and non-digital (e.g. press)
channels
 A leader with both creative and analytical capabilities
 Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities
 Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across
various departments and create best-in-class content
 Professional presence and ability to develop strong working relationships with executive management
 Solid research skills with the ability to stay ahead of current marketing industry trends
 A successful track record of executive leadership within a highly capable, cross-discipline publishing
team at scale
 Experience developing and leading highly functional teams with ambitious goals and large online
customer communities
 Ideally based in New York or The Valley.
