DESCRIPTION:
The left level sensor may not achieve full travel.
PRODUCT MODIFICATION:
Improvement of production process at supplier, left level sensor is turned to improve the situation.
VEHICLE REPORT:
Yes, please submit a report if problems are detected outside chassis breakpoints. Use concern area
“Vehicle Report” and sub concern area “Support not needed”.
SERVICE:
If you encounter a customer complaint related to CSC’s, or when fault tracing a level indication issue,
prior to replacement of level sensor ensure that left level sensor alignment marks are as described in
VIDA Repair -> Removal, replacement and installation-> 2 Engine with mountings and equipment -> 23
Fuel system -> Fuel pump (FP) and filter -> Level sensor, fuel tank,replacing and follow link to left level
sensor, replacing; or use VCCid VCC-144033-1 in VIDA search function.
In case of faulty level indication despite being inside alignment marks please loosen lock ring and rotate
left level sensor to line up with left alignment mark as shown in attachment.
